  Baumme sszange 
Gegenstand des Stammpatentes ist   eine Baummesszange zur Messung   und Registrierung des Durchmessers von Baumstämmen sowie gegebenenfalls zur Berechnung des Stammvolumens, bei der die Messschiene pro Masseinheit je eine Kerbe oder einen Zahn aufweist, welche bei der Verschiebung des beweglichen Schenkels der Zange einen in diesem angeordneten elektrischen Kontakt betätigen, über welchen eine dem Ausmass der Verschiebung dieses Schenkels proportionale Anzahl von elektrischen Impulsen einem von der Messzange getrennt angeordneten   Registrier- bzw. Auswertegerät zugeführt   werden. 



   Die im Ausführungsbeispiel des Stammpatentes vorgeschlagenen mechanischen Kontakte neigen bei grösserer Impulshäufigkeit zu Prellerscheinungen, wodurch sich Fehler in der Anzahl der Impulse ergeben können. Durch Verwendung einer Lichtquelle, deren Lichtstrahl durch die an der Messschiene angebrach-   ten Zähne   unterbrochen wird, können an einem dahinterliegenden lichtempfindlichen Element Spannungsoder Widerstandsschwankungen erhalten werden, welche der Anzahl der durch die Zähne hervorgerufenen Unterbrechungen entsprechen. Ein nachgeschalteter Verstärker führt die Schwankungen einem Relais zu, welches auch grosse Impulszahlen pro Sekunde übertragen kann. Dadurch werden Prellungserscheinungen vermieden und die dem Stammdurchmesser entsprechenden Impulse einwandfrei auf die nachgeschaltete Zählkette übertragen.

   Zur eindeutigen Richtung der Impulse ist im beweglichen Schenkel ein Umschaltkontakt angeordnet, welcher durch Zusammenwirken mit den Zähnen bzw. Kerben der Messschiene, je nach der Bewegungsrichtung des Schenkels, die elektrischen Impulse positiv oder negativ weiterleitet.
