Mandoline.
Es sind sowohl Mandolinen mit violinartig gestalteter, mit Schall-oder F-Löchern versehener Decke, als auch solche mit einem im Inneren angebrachten Stimmstock bekannt.
Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist nun eine Mandoline, welche beide Einrichtungen, Violindecke mit F-Löchern und SMmmstock, vereinigt, wodurch eine besonders gute Klangwirkung erzeugt wird.
Die Figuren der untenstehenden Zeichnung bringen den Erfindungsgegenstand in beispielsweise Ausführung zur Darstellung.
Fig. 1 stellt eine derartige Mandoline im Querschnitt dar, während
Fig. 2 eine Draufsicht auf Fig. 1 veranschaulicht.
Die Decke a der Mandoline ist violinartig gestaltet und besitzt zu Seiten des Steges b zwei Schallöcher oder sogenannte F-Löcher c, c. Innerhalb der Mandoline ist ein Stimmstock d von bei Violinen bekannter Art vorgesehen, welcher sowohl die Tragkraft der Mandolinendecke erhöht und dadurch eine grössere Stabilität der Mandoline herbeiführt, als auch eine grössere Resonanz ergibt.
In der Hauptsache soll durch den Erfindungsgegenstand erzielt werden, dass auf einer solchen Mandoline ein voller, dabei aber durchaus zarter und lieblicher Ton erzeugt werden kann, während durch die violinartige Gestaltung des Instrumentes überdies eine bessere, vornehmere Haltung beim Spielen erlangt wird.

There are both mandolins with a violin-like cover provided with sound or F-holes and those with a sound post mounted inside.
The subject of the present invention is now a mandolin which combines both devices, violin top with F-holes and SMmm stick, whereby a particularly good sound effect is produced.
The figures in the drawing below show the subject matter of the invention in an exemplary embodiment.

The top a of the mandolin is designed like a violin and has two sound holes or so-called F-holes c, c on the sides of the bridge b. Inside the mandolin there is provided a sound post d of the type known from violins, which both increases the load-bearing capacity of the mandolin top and thereby brings about greater stability of the mandolin, as well as producing greater resonance.
The main aim of the subject matter of the invention is to achieve a full, but quite delicate and lovely tone on such a mandolin, while the violin-like design of the instrument also enables a better, more elegant posture to be achieved when playing.
