Dynamics and high efficiency can be achieved.
The object of the invention is to improve an injection unit of the type mentioned. In particular, it should be more compact in construction and less expensive to manufacture.
The object of the invention is achieved in that the receiving part is designed as a spindle on which a nut rotatable by the second electric motor is mounted.
The injection unit according to the invention enables the best possible utilization of the torque of the servo motors.
An embodiment of the invention is described below with reference to the figure of the accompanying drawing.
The figure of the drawing shows an axial section through an injection unit according to the invention.

A plasticizing screw 2 is accommodated in the plasticizing cylinder 1 in a conventional manner. Above the plasticizing cylinder 1 there is an insertion 3 for plastic granules.
The plasticizing cylinder 1 is connected to a drive housing 6 via a carrier plate 4 and bars 5.
The rear end of the plasticizing screw 2 is fastened in a receiving part designed as a spindle 7.
In the exemplary embodiment, the spindle 7 has an axial recess 8 into which a drive shaft designed as a spline projects. The drive shaft 9 is supported by a bearing 10 in the drive housing 6.
At the rear end, the drive shaft 9 is provided with a pulley 11, over which a drive belt 12 runs, which connects the pulley 11 to the pulley 13 of an electric motor 14.
On the spindle 7, a nut 15 is mounted, which is rotatably mounted in a driver housing 16. On the part of the driver housing 16 that protrudes from the drive housing 6, a pulley 18 is in turn attached, which is connected via a drive belt 17 to the pulley 19 of a second electric motor 20.
The electric motor 20 rotates the nut 15 on the spindle 7. The electric motor 14 rotates the spindle 7 via the

As already mentioned, the drive shaft 9 is designed as a spline, which in a corresponding spline

engages in the spindle 7. However, it is within the scope of the inventive concept to design the spindle 7 and the drive shaft 9 in one piece. In this case, the pulley 11 would be axially displaceable on the drive shaft 9.
A pressure measuring device is advantageously provided, via which the pressure in the plasticizing cylinder 1 is determined and the speed of rotation of the electric motor 20, which rotates the nut, is controlled.
The operation of the injection unit according to the invention proceeds as follows: The electric motor 20 and the electric motor 14 are moved simultaneously with the same direction of rotation, for example counterclockwise, in such a way that the spindle 7 and the nut 15 rotate at the same speed. As a result, the plasticizing screw 2 is held axially immovable, but rotated.
After a predetermined pressure has been reached in the plasticizing cylinder 1, the speed of the motor 20 is regulated so that the pressure in the plasticizing cylinder 1 remains constant during the plasticizing stroke. The motor 14 continues to run at the same rotational speed during this time and determines the plasticizing performance of the injection unit.
For the screw retraction, the electric motor 14 which acts on the spindle 7 is stopped and the electric motor 20 is moved further in the same direction of rotation, that is to say in the counterclockwise direction.
The electric motor 14 remains stopped for injection. The direction of rotation of the electric motor 20 is now clockwise, causing the spindle 7 and thus

the plasticizing screw 2 is moved in the direction of the injection mold and the injection process takes place.
