Sprechmaschine.

Talking machine.
The present devices on phonographs and similar devices for sound reproduction relate to the support of the sound sleeve and the bell and aim to be able to rotate the latter in a horizontal plane independently of the free lateral movement of the former during the movement of the apparatus. The present invention relates to the type of connection of the sound box with its support and to that of the latter with the bell support and aims to manufacture these apparatus parts as permanently and precisely as possible with the greatest possible simplicity.
In the drawing, FIG. 1 is a view of a phonograph designed according to the present invention, while FIG. 2 shows the connection between the bell and the bell carrier in section. 1 is the case of a known type of phonograph and 2 is its plate support. A support arm 3 is attached to the box 1, the side edges of which are bent up to form flanges 4 and form a guide groove for the removable arm 5, which is attached by means of an adjusting screw 6. The free end of the arm. 5 is curved upwards and forms the vertical arm 7, which ends in a vertical sleeve 8, on the upper end of which the horn 9 is rotatably attached, so that it can be rotated in a horizontal plane independently of the lateral movement of the horn.
A tube 10 is inserted freely movable into the cuff 8 and its lower end bears a flexible knee 11 on the rubber or the like, for the purpose of rendering the crackling or metallic noises that are known to occur in such apparatus harmless. A metal tube 12 is connected to the knee and extends to the sound box support J. 9 and is connected to the same
EMI1.1
Knee 18 is connected.
The sound box support is attached to a preferably hollow arm 19, which at the other end in a. fork-shaped rotating piece 20 ends, the upper arm of which forms a cap bearing 21 and the lower arm of which forms an eyelet 22, by means of which the arm 19 together with the sound box is placed on a vertical pivot pin 23 attached to the support arm 5, so that it can be pivoted about the latter . To limit the lateral or rotary movement of the support arm 19 is a 20 at its end

which the nose 27 of the stop 24 falls or strikes.
As a result of this arrangement, the sound box together with its support arm 19 and the tube 12 can swing around the pin 23 independently of the sound trumpet, while the sound trumpet can also be rotated around independently of this.
