Schaltelement
Fig. 1 gibt das Schaltbild wieder.

Switching element
The invention relates to a switching element for electrotechnical apparatus, in particular for lights with a slow current rise, which contains a resistor with a negative temperature coefficient, the heating of which actuates a switch, in particular a bimetal switch, which shorts this resistor.
The invention is characterized in that a heating element consisting of an NTK resistor is provided to keep the switch switched by the heat closed.
In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is shown in one embodiment, for example.
Fig. 1 shows the circuit diagram. 2 and 3 show the construction of such a switching element in mutually associated cracks.
According to the circuit diagram of FIG. 1, 1 denotes the heating element which heats the bimetal strip 2, as indicated by the line 17 in broken lines. If points 8 and 9 are live and switch 6 is closed, lamp 7 lights up only slowly, since the two NTK resistors 1 and 5 are initially in series in this circuit. As a result of the heating of the heating element 1 and the transfer of this heat to the bimetallic strip 2, the latter bends until the contacts 3 and 4 finally close. The NTK rise resistor 5 (resistor which essentially causes the slow rise) is then short-circuited. However, heating element 1 is still on in the circuit.

contact is guaranteed.
The dimensioning is such that the voltage drop caused by the heating element 1 is meaningless.
In terms of construction, this switching element comprises a base plate 12 on which all of the remaining switching elements are attached. The base plate 12 with the switching elements can be pushed in and out in a tube 13 which has a fixed cover 16 on one side. A second cover 14 is provided on the other side. In the inserted state of use, a tube that is closed on all sides is available, from which only two supply wires 18, 19 protrude on a cover 14. The switching element thus has an extremely compensating shape, which has obvious advantages.
The supply lines 18, 19 are guided through the base plate 12 by means of eyelets 10, 11. The wire 18 connects to the heating element 1; the wire 19 is connected to the contact 4 (with the lamp 7 and the switch 6 interposed). The NTK heating element 1 has the shape of a pill on which the bimetallic strip 2 rests with good thermal conductivity. The NTK rise resistor 5 is provided above these elements. The feed wires 18, 19 go through openings 15 to the outside.
The invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiment. The NTK heating element can also be used to control other switches such as bimetallic switches, e.g. B. to control expansion switches of all kinds (mercury switches and the like.).
