Device on a conveyor belt connecting a storage hopper with a counting device for bodies
Align the bodies in a row
The invention relates to a device on a storage hopper with a counting device for bodies such as candies and the like. Like., connecting conveyor belt for aligning the body in a row. A device for this purpose has already become known. In this case, the bodies to be counted are conveyed by a conveyor belt to two wedge-shaped deflection plates, where they accumulate and are deflected onto a narrow conveyor belt running in the opposite direction and lined up one behind the other.
The bodies are then accumulated again on a plate and then picked up by a faster moving conveyor belt, with the distances between the individual bodies increasing. Experience has shown that such a device only works properly for approximately round bodies. In the case of angular or packaged bodies in which the packaging protrudes from the bodies, jams occur at the deflection points, which can lead to malfunctions.
These disadvantages are eliminated in the device according to the invention. According to the invention, a plurality of successive guide walls, which are adjustable relative to one another and serve to separate bodies from the conveyor track, are arranged above the conveyor belt. This means that no jams can occur, since excess bodies are always discharged unhindered from the conveyor track.
In addition to the conveyor belt that feeds the bodies to the guide walls, a return belt running in the opposite direction and a bucket elevator or other return belts that convey the separated bodies back into the storage hopper are preferably arranged.
In the drawing, two exemplary embodiments of the subject of the invention are shown.
1 shows a perspective illustration of a first embodiment and FIG. 2 shows a perspective illustration of a second embodiment.
In the storage hopper 1 of the t left. A supply of sweets is housed, which is fed through a vibrating chute 2 to a conveyor belt 3 looping around the rollers 4, 5. Above the same, a plurality of sluices arranged one behind the other in the direction of movement of the belt indicated by the arrow A are provided, each of which is formed by two associated, relatively adjustable guide plates 6 and 7. The adjustment of the baffles takes place according to the size and shape of the candy to be processed. The candies discharged through the locks slide over an inclined surface 8 to a return belt 9 which moves in the opposite direction of arrow B and returns the candies towards the funnel 1.
The sweets are transferred from the return belt to the filling end of the funnel by a bucket elevator 10.
At the end of the conveyor belt 3, an inclined channel 11 is provided. The sweets coming from the last baffle 12, now perfectly aligned in a row, fall past the rear end of the channel 11 into a double-chambered vessel 13 known per se, which has an upper and lower reversing flap controlled by the counter 14 in the usual way. The discharge funnel for packetizing is denoted by 15. When the optical counter 14 has counted the predetermined number of candies, which can be set in a known manner, it closes the upper switchover flap 16 so that the candies are fed to the return conveyor 9 until further notice and at the same time places the upper flap 17 of the double-chamber vessel 13 on the other Chamber half around.
The sweets that are still in the case are pre-registered by the counting device for the next count and are pre-stored in the second half of the chamber. The two lower flaps, which each close off one half of the double chamber vessel, each catch the receipt

bons on. The opening of these flaps is triggered alternately by the packaging system when a container is ready under the discharge funnel. After the container has been filled, the packaging system then causes the relevant lower flap to be closed again. At the same time, the opening of the switchover flap 16 is also triggered.
It is extremely important that the upper flap 17 of the double-chamber vessel is changed over in the shortest possible time. After the count has been completed, the following candy must already be guided into the other half of the chamber with certainty.
The embodiment according to FIG. 2 differs from that according to FIG. 1 by a somewhat simpler design. It also comprises a storage hopper 1 with a return chamber 1 a and a vibrating chute 2 through which the sweets are fed to a conveyor belt 3 on which they are conveyed in the direction of arrow A. There are also locks, which are formed by guide plates 6 and 7 that can be adjusted relative to one another. The sweets discharged from the locks slide over an inclined surface 8 onto a first return belt 9, which moves in the direction of arrow B.
The returning sweets pass from the return belt 9 to a second return belt 18 and from there to a third return belt 19, from which they pass into the return chamber 10.
The bon bons lined up in a line at a distance from one another by the locks fall after leaving the conveyor belt 3 through a guide channel 20 and pass through a known optical counting device 14, whereupon they fall into a double-chamber vessel 21. This contains a switchover flap 22 which is controlled by the counting device 14. After a predetermined number of sweets has passed through the counting device, the latter reverses the switchover flap 22 and at the same time sets the sledge channel

fall out of this and are taken over by the packaging system, which in turn initiates the restart of the vibrating chute 2 and the conveyor belt 3.
