Method for producing a bundle of tool bars for pneumatic hammers
The invention relates to a method for producing the collar usually provided on the tool of compressed air devices, which collar is arranged on the tool shaft next to the insertion end.
After one end of the tool shaft has been inserted into the compressed air device, the collar lies between. the retaining cap and a retaining bracket arranged on the retaining cap. The federal government has the task of preventing the tool from being unintentionally pulled out of the compressed air device.
Various designs are known in which the collar is made by vulcanized rubber rings, over which a steel ring is sometimes drawn. Such designs are z. B. in the German patent specification no. 895729, derfranz. Patent Specification No. 1,121,173 or U.S. Patent No. 2, 685,274. The purpose of using elastic material to make the waistband is to mitigate the shocks and bruises of the working tool that are transmitted to the workers' wrists and cause damage to health.
These explanations were not entirely satisfactory because the rubber ring was knocked loose from the shaft after some time, despite the vulcanization, by the vibrations of the working device and because the rubber became warm and soft, so that the collar could not fulfill its intended task.
But also rings made of another elastic material, e.g. B .. Vu1kolan, were beaten loosely over time. In order to avoid these disadvantages, it was proposed to insert the elastic collar partly into an annular groove in the tool shank, which, however, resulted in broken rods due to the notch.
There are also known designs in which a cylindrical or frustoconical elastic body is applied to the drill rod, with a metal sleeve surrounding the jacket of the body also

However, even these designs do not result in a sufficiently tight fit of the collar on the drill rod.
The invention relates to a method for producing a frustoconical collar on tool bars of pneumatic hammers, which consists of an elastic or compressible body surrounded by a metal sleeve, the body, e.g. B. made of rubber, Vulkolanod. Like. Applied to the rod and covered with the at least one of the edge edges of the elastic body comprising metal sleeve.
According to the invention, the elastic body applied to the rod is pressed in the radial and axial directions into an approximately frustoconical body enclosed by the metal sleeve designed as a steel sleeve.
The subject matter of the invention is explained in the drawing, for example. FIG. 1 shows the end of a tool shaft before and FIG. 2 after the pressing process.
A pipe section 3 made of rubber, Vulkolan or some other elastic piece is placed behind the insertion end 2 over the shaft 1 of a rock drill. compressible material and pushed a steel tube 4 over this. One end of the steel tube is expediently provided with an annular shoulder, the inner diameter of which matches that of the tool shank.
Conical press jaws are pushed over this collar body and the collar body is pressed axially with great pressure into the press body until the collar has the conical shape shown in FIG.
After this process or during the pressing process, an intimate connection of the elastic

rule material with the steel bodies by vulcanizing od. Like. Be achieved.
The elastic body is expediently pressed into the steel ring before the pressing process and the steel ring is then reshaped in such a way that the elastic body is enclosed on one side by the rod and on all other sides by the steel sleeve.
