Zusammenlegbares Schwitzbad
EMI1.1

Collapsible sweat bath
EMI1.1
Scl1witzkabinen became known, u. Zw. once as a rollable hollow cylinder made of sheet metal, molded insulating material or similar. Relatively stiff material as the cabin wall, on the other hand as a soft cover made of heat-insulating material, for example, suspended from the stool frame.
Over time it has the high therapeutic effect of overheating the body means
Infrared rays proved, as is well known, especially the short-wave infrared rays in the deeper ones
Penetrate skin layers and thereby cause a more intensive heat stimulus in these blood-supplied layers, in contrast to indirect heating by air or steam. This specific radiation effect is used in versions that have become known in that the inside of the cabin wall is covered with sheet metal (German Patent No. 523251, Verloop) or, in order to avoid
Burns on contact - is lined with a thin metal foil as a radiation reflector (Austrian
Patent No. 178161, Achner). However, such a metal foil cladding has the disadvantage that its application is limited to rigid or semi-rigid substrates and is not suitable for soft, foldable fabrics such as
Textiles, plastic foils, etc. are suitable because the metal foil pressed, glued or otherwise fastened onto such substrates would crumple and eventually become brittle if folded repeatedly.
A cabin wall or shell made of soft, foldable materials, however, offers the advantage that it can be easily collapsed to a very small size and is lightweight.
In order to make a cabin wall consisting of such a shell highly reflective, especially for heat rays, according to the invention the shell or, in the case of multilayer material, the inner layer of the shell consists of fabric metallized by high vacuum vapor deposition in a manner known per se (see e.g. German Patent No. 966231, Heraeus or the magazine "Novelties and Inventions",
Gümlingen-Bern, No. 263/56 pages 184/185 "Metallization of textile fabrics"). A thin material covering applied in this way has proven not only to be highly reflective, but also to be completely heat and moisture-resistant and to be firmly adhering under all circumstances. Also fabrics from im
High vacuum metallized threads show the same advantageous properties as heat reflectors.
Thereby it is u. a. also possible, when using a foldable cover, the entire inner surface of the
Use the cabin to reflect the rays and thus increase the efficiency of the device.
