Method and device for burning sand, gravel and. Like. Containing fuel in a pulverized fuel furnace with sifters
Blower mill
The invention relates to a method and a device for burning sand, gravel and. Like. Containing fuel in a pulverized fuel furnace with a sifterless fan mill, in which the centrifugal force in the spiral housing creates a different cross-section of material in the flowing gas, the fractions depending on their specific weight separated by means of steering tongues and on the one hand to burners, on the other hand to the mill will.
In one of these known arrangements, the coarse material is returned to the mill in order to be ground recently. In another known arrangement, the material is divided into three fractions in a sifter, the fine material is fed directly to the burners, the medium material to the mill and the coarse material to a grate.
With these known measures, the task is to achieve a fine grinding of the fuel. In the case of the invention, fine grinding is only a partial task. The main task is to prevent difficult-to-grind and incombustible material from being returned to the mill.
As a result of mechanical extraction, raw lignite contains sand. This sand, sometimes also gravel, is not a solid ash component of the coal, but a loose admixture that separates from the coal the first time it passes through the mill, but with the usual classifier mills is repeatedly separated in the classifier and returned to the mill. Since sand has almost twice the specific weight of lignite and is hard, it passes through the mill about four times as often as lignite until it is ground to the fineness of discharge.
With classifier mills, it is relatively difficult to separate the sand from the returns. Blower mills, on the other hand, offer a simple option, because as a result of the centrifugal force, the material in the housing and in the outlet nozzle is layered in fractions that merge into one another. This phenomenon is known and has been used to separate coarse and fine material. According to the invention, it is used to separate the heavier sand from the coal. The invention consists in that the sand u. Like. Incombustible components containing coarse or. Heavy material and the fine material to the burners, while the medium material containing essentially only combustible and crushing constituents, is returned to the mill.
Due to its higher specific weight, the sand is mainly pushed into the edge zone, in which coarse grains of coal are also present. However, the sand enrichment is stronger than that of coal. It would be possible per se with the known means to separate the sand from the coarse coal. Most furnaces, however, are not sensitive to the relatively small amounts of coarse coal. Sand hardly does any harm in the furnaces, and it can even be an advantage in the case of melt furnaces. The coarse fraction can therefore be safely fed to the furnace. What is more important, however, is the relatively wide band of the medium material, which could have an unfavorable effect on the combustion quality without re-shredding. It is therefore returned to the mill in a known manner in order to be comminuted.
The stratification of the material to be ground is promoted if shovel-like impact plates are attached within the spiral of the fan mill, which are arranged approximately parallel to the spiral, but at the same distance from the beating line. They guide the crushed grist and the sand into the spiral
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
and thereby prevent their return to the beat wheel. On the other hand, the coarse pieces, which have a higher radial speed, are thrown back into the impact wheel and further reduced in size. This measure increases the performance of the mill, improves grinding and reduces wear. The baffle plates can be designed to be exchangeable.
While in the case of mills without baffle plates the wear occurs mainly on the corner armor, which has to be replaced frequently, in the case of the baffle plates it is distributed more evenly over the surface, so that the operational readiness of the mill is increased. Shovel-like internals in mills, which are used to subdivide the millbase flow, are assumed to be known.
A fan mill designed according to the invention is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 in a vertical section perpendicular to the mill axis and in a side view.
The beater mill 1 consists of a Spiraigenuse 2 and a beater wheel S rotatably arranged in it, the shaft 4 of which is rotatably mounted outside the housing in neck bearings 5, 6 and is driven by an electric motor 7 via a reduction gear 8 so that it rotates in the direction of the arrow.
The impact wheel is designed in a known manner similar to the wheel of a fan with suction on one side and has the impact plates 9 instead of the blades . The ground material, sand-containing lignite, is introduced into the shaft 10 in a known manner, which is predried in the gas stream and introduced into the mill 1 by it.
The spiral housing 2 is equipped with additional baffle plates 12 which are preferably parallel to its spiral wall. In the rectangular-prismatic outlet channel 11 there are two walls 13, 14 which are parallel to the shaft axis and which merge into one another in the shape of a roof towards the top. Adjustable flaps 15, 16 are located at their lower ends. The space between the walls 13, 14 is connected to the lower part of the shaft 10 by a pipe 17. A flap 18 allows the flow cross-section to be throttled as desired.
The mode of operation of the arrangement described is as follows: Lignite and hot gas pass through the shaft 10 into the mill, which also acts as a fan. The coal is crushed in the first pass and carried into the outlet channel 11 by the vapors. Stratification occurs in the spiral housing 2 of the mill 1 due to the effect of centrifugal force. Sand and coarse coal migrate outwards, the semolina remains in the middle, the fine dust on the inner edge. The gases can also be centrifuged because the water vapor is significantly lighter than air. Therefore an accumulation of water vapor will occur inwards. The baffle plates 12 protect the stratification against disruptive influences caused by eddies coming from the mill. The semolina is fed back through the pipe 17 into the mill or into the shaft 10.
If the grinding in the mill is so good that semolina does not occur or only in insignificant quantities, the pipe 17 can be shut off and the gas flow can be divided into two layers by placing the flaps 16 and 15 together. Then the outer one will not only carry the but also the larger part of fuel, the inner one will carry less fuel and more water vapor. It is assumed in FIG. 1 that the two partial flows are mixed with one another again. However, since they have different burning properties, it can be advantageous to introduce them separately into the furnace.
3, 4, 5 show the connection of the mill with the burners in three mutually perpendicular directions of view, the semolina return line 17 having been omitted to simplify the illustration. The outlet connection 11 is divided into several parallel channels 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23, 24, the latter of which carry the vapors. Each subchannel is connected to a burner nozzle of the burner 25, which is arranged with several similar burners in the manner of corner firing on the combustion chamber 26.
The mill 1 is set up so that all channels 19 to 24 are perpendicular, but at least straight to the kink point provided with a baffle plate 27, from where the channels are angled, but again straight and sloping, lead to the burner nozzles. The nozzles of the water vapor-rich channels 23, 24 are arranged at some distance from the nozzles of the channels 19 to 22. This is also done in the case of an ascending flow in the firebox so that the sand does not get into the full flow of fire gas and fall into the slag funnel. As can be seen from FIG. 5, the axes of all nozzles of a burner are tangent to the same circular cylinder. This is possible because the two groups of nozzles lie one above the other at a distance, so the sloping channels to the burners can therefore include an angle to one another in the plan view.
