Description

so full that the water level comes close to the thread guide. The second thread guide is also rigidly attached to the bottom of the container, but pivoted for the purpose of piecing, etc.

The advantages of this procedure are, on the one hand, that the drawing of the thread takes place exclusively in a hot water bath due to the position of the thread guides acting as thread brakes. The thread is certainly completely wetted while z. B. when working with the cascade, the wetting can be temporarily interrupted. Another important advantage of the present method is the type of thread guide, which makes it possible to accommodate as many spinning positions as possible in the smallest of spaces without the ongoing work being impaired. The working space between the lower and upper godet is completely free and therefore offers the possibility of easily replacing the spinning pot, which z. B. was always associated with difficulties when working with the cascade.

In contrast to other methods which consistently use godets or rolls, the use of rigid thread guides according to the present method offers particular advantages.

The process is explained in more detail using a drawing. The thread 2 emerging from the spinneret 1 from the coagulation bath first arrives at the godet 3, wraps around it one or more times, whereupon it passes through a short air gap to the thread guide 5 attached to the hot water tank 4 and from there via the thread guide 6 to the godet 7 becomes. After looping around the godet 7 one or more times, the thread arrives at the spinning pot 8. The hot water container 4 has an inlet 9 and an outlet 10.

    PATENT CLAIMS:
1. A process for the production of high-strength rayon threads according to the viscose process, characterized in that the thread withdrawn directly from the coagulation bath in a manner known per se through an overlying godet continues after passing through a very short air gap of a maximum of 15 cm, preferably 3 cm, by passing over fixed thread guides while defining the drawing point entirely in a hot water bath by 80-140%, preferably 1100/0, and then collecting the thread in a known manner.

2. Device for carrying out the method according to claim l, characterized by two godets (3 and 7) rotating at different circumferential speeds and arranged one above the other, by a hot water container (4) located between the two godets and by two fixed thread guides (5 and 6) attached to it , one of which (6) is located below the surface of the water.
