Suspension device for cables, hoses or the like.
During assembly work, electrical cables, such as welding cables or hoses, e.g. B. compressed air lines or gas hoses for oxy-fuel welding, from the installation site of the welding unit, the compressor or the gas container, can be led many meters high to the actual work site. It is necessary to hang up the cables or hoses in such a way that the worker is relieved of the weight of these lines and is not hindered in his mobility or in the performance of the work at all by the weight pull. Various suspension devices are already known for this purpose.
One of them is formed from two resilient wires in the manner of a clothes hanger, the wires forming open loops for receiving the cable or the like and contracting under the weight of the cable so that it is clamped. Introducing the cable into each
However, looping is cumbersome, and a further disadvantage is that the cable is easily damaged by the wires if a secure hold is to be ensured. Another known embodiment has a claw carrying the cable in its cavity and a thumb which can be pushed into the cavity and clamps the cable, which is guided on the support part and can be locked by a rack and pinion lock.
However, this is a relatively complicated and expensive construction, which also involves the risk of the cable or hose being squeezed too tightly between the claw and thumb. Finally, a device has become known which consists of a sheet metal sheet in the form of shallow troughs which is bent together to form at least two full screw turns. So that the Kabelod. Like. Does not slip in the longitudinal direction, it must be looped at least twice around the carrier formed, on the one hand a bent tongue, on the other hand a spring wire loop that crosses over the receiving groove and also serves for suspension hold the two cable runs in the receiving groove.
Attaching the cable to the carrier is therefore also cumbersome, especially since one end of the wire loop has to be detached from the carrier. In addition, this device can only be used for arrangements in which the cable is to be deflected from the horizontal to the vertical direction and the wire loop accordingly runs horizontally.
The aim of the invention is to eliminate these deficiencies and to create a particularly simple suspension device which holds the cable, hose or the like securely with ease of application and removal without the risk of injury.
The invention is based on a device with a suspendable carrier, which has a groove for receiving the cable or the like wrapped around it, and consists essentially in the fact that the carrier is designed in a thimble-like manner with a wedge-shaped receiving groove for a wrap angle of at most 3600 is provided at the bottom with one of the two strands of the cable or the like. As a result of the wedge-shaped cross section of the receiving groove, there is sufficient friction between the cable or the like and the carrier, so that slipping or slipping in the longitudinal direction is prevented without repeated wrapping. The lower guide ensures that the sufficiently wide wrap angle is maintained.
The cable or hose is in the hanging curtain

ger attached to any structural or scaffolding part and the cable or hose needs to be inserted into the receiving groove or with its two strands inserted into the guide.
According to the invention, the guide consists of two symmetrical wire windings that are arranged next to one another and extend over approximately one and a half helical turns. These wire windings hold the strand

means to increase even further.
In the drawing, the subject of the invention is shown, for example, u. show between 1 a suspension device for cables or the like in the diagram and FIG. 2 in a side view on a smaller scale.
The suspension device according to the invention consists of an annular carrier 1 which forms a receiving groove 2 with a wedge-shaped cross section on its circumference. A wire bracket 3 is attached to the end of the carrier and forms an eyelet 4 for a hook 5 at the top. The two legs of the wire bracket 3 are spread apart at the bottom and are wound into a guide 6 with about one and a half turns.
The suspension device is, as Fig. 1 shows, attached to any structural part 7, where-

Turns 6 is introduced. In this position, the cable cannot slide off and there is no risk of injury. The entire device is only light in weight and easy to manufacture.
