Corner reinforcement for open-top, foldable cardboard packaging containers
There are open top, mostly flat, z. B. for fruits, packaging containers made of cardboard are known, which are then shipped as appropriately cut and provided with folding lines sheets easily finished by bending and can be folded again after use. Such containers require corner reinforcements which can be pushed onto the container corners from above in order to fix the container walls in the position of use of the container. The previous corner reinforcements for this purpose usually consist of a piece of pipe made of robust cardboard, which has two longitudinal slots for pushing onto the two container walls that meet in one corner.
With such a corner reinforcement, however, the container walls are held together too little securely or too little firmly, and there is also no possibility of mutually fixing identical containers stacked on top of one another. The invention aims to improve this.
The invention is essentially characterized by a one-piece cast plastic part which has a horizontal support in the form of a flange or the like at the top and has four vertical walls at the bottom, which form two parallel right angles inscribed in the same circumferential circle, the distance between which is the Wall thickness of the container corresponds. The container walls are held securely in the corner area between the two angles formed by the four walls, and the flange od.
EMI1.1
The plastic part is an elegant object that decorates the container.
A particularly advantageous design is achieved in that the plastic part consists of a hollow cylinder, on which the four vertical walls, each two at an angle, are attached, starting in the same horizontal plane, and the upper edge of which is bent in the open angle area to a lower flange . The remaining half-cylinder wall, protruding upwards over the flange, prevents a lateral displacement of a container of the same type that may be placed on the flange.
In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is shown in one embodiment, u. between two
EMI1.2
3 shows a container with attached corner reinforcements in a view from below.
The corner reinforcement is formed by a one-piece cast plastic part, which consists of a hollow cylinder 8, to which four vertical walls 3, 4, 5, 6 each two at right angles are attached, beginning in the horizontal plane 7. The two parallel angles 3, 4 and 5, 6 are spaced apart from one another which corresponds to the wall thickness 2 of the container. The plastic part is plugged onto the container walls from above in the corner area, with angle 3, 4 resting on the inside and angle 5, B on the outside of the container corner.
The upper edge of the cylinder 8 is bent in the open angular region to a lower-lying flange 1, which serves to support a second container, if applicable.
