<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
4"be- wirken Magnet 2 bzw.

Coin counter
The invention relates to a coin counter with several for different types
Coins specific insertion points.
Since the goods are not all at one price.
Coin values (0, 50, 1, -or 2, -S) can be sold, it is necessary for the automatic sale to set goods prices that can be composed of coins of different values and different numbers, e. B. Price of 1.80 S from 1x1, -S, 1x0, 50 S, 2x0, 10 S and 2 x 0, 05 S or 3 x 0, 50 S, 3 x 0, 10 S etc. in any variations and Coins can be inserted in any order.
In electromechanical counters of this type, an electrical impulse is given to the counter by the inserted coin and the coin value is counted. The known versions provide that the counting element goes back to the starting position after counting.
As a result, in terms of time, the same time is required for the way there as for the way back to the starting position. This arrangement also results in a necessary unlocking or decoupling of the counting element for the purpose of changing direction.
The invention is based on the object of moving the counting element of the coin counter in only one direction.
The device according to the invention consists of a wheel with switching levers which can be swiveled in on the circumference in different planes, which are set by inserting the corresponding coin via a magnet-operated lever in the plane corresponding to the coin value and the wheel triggered by coin insertion and displaced in one direction of rotation by a step magnet, which is coupled to a counting wheel equipped with the corresponding set limit switch, contacts are also assigned in the different levels at different points of the wheel circumference corresponding to the coin value, which are triggered by the first of the respectively set switch levers
Bring the rotary motion to a standstill, while after repeatedly inserting coins, until the set price of goods is reached,
the limit switch of the counting wheel brought by an end contact releases the vending machine compartment.
A contact triggered during goods removal charges a clutch magnet coil with current, whereby the decoupled, spring-loaded counting wheel is brought into its starting position and this coil is de-energized again when the goods removal process is completed, so that the decoupled counting wheel, which is under the action of a return spring, is connected to the counter wheel that is counting Element acting wheel is coupled.
The counting wheel, equipped with a coin value scale visible to the outside through a window, can be provided with several limit switches so that this device can be used for several fixed prices of goods at the same time.
The insertion point designed for each coin unit consists of a fixed and a pivotable contact part with knife-like contact points, whereby the inserted coin, bridging the two contact points, causes a self-holding relay to respond, which allows the pivotable contact part to pivot outwards to release the coin, whereby a at the end of the pivotable contact part articulated and pivotable about a pivot locking member sets in front of the next following coin.
An exemplary embodiment is explained below using a drawing. Herein: Fig. 1 represents the coin slot; Fig. 2 the coin counter and Fig. 3 the counting: element in particular.
The counter shown in this embodiment is designed for three coin units, for example for 10 and 50 groschen and 1 schilling. Accordingly, the I
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Counter can be equipped with stopping points offset by 300 each.
A coin insertion point shown in FIG. 1 is provided for each of these coin units mentioned. Thus, the inserted coin M lies on the razor-sharp contact points 21 of the two contact holding parts 20 and 22, whereby a circuit is closed which is connected to a line
Self-holding relay 23 and a magnet 12 feeds, while a parallel line leads either to magnet 1 or 2. The coin slot for the coin units closes
10 groschen has only one line to 23 and 12, on the other hand the coin slot has a parallel line leading to magnet 2 for 50 groschen and one to magnet 1 for 1 schilling.
According to FIG. 2, a ratchet wheel 10 actuated by the step magnet 12 is located on the same shaft and in front of it the actual counting element, consisting of a wheel 9 provided with, for example, shift levers 4 arranged at a distance of 300. As FIG. 3 illustrates, the pivotable shift levers 4 take up three different positions between cranked leaf springs 25. In the illustration drawn in section, the lowest position 4 corresponds to the coin value of 10 groschen, the dashed position 4 'to the coin value of 50 groschen and 4 "applies to 1 schilling. The shift to position 4' and 4" is effective Magnet 2 or 1 via a lever 3, which is provided with an overrun curve, brings all the passing lever 4 into the appropriate position.
Going back to Fig. 1, the coin 18 has closed the circuit via contacts 21, whereby the self-holding relay 23 received power and swiveled the pivotable contact part 20 in the direction of the arrow, so that the coin 18 could slide past and the locking member 19 sit in front of the next coin, prevented further contact. While the self-holding relay 23 and the step magnet 12 therefore continue to be energized, the magnets 1 or 2 have already received power beforehand to operate the lever 3, which, under the tension of a tension spring, resumes its original position after the circuit has been interrupted.
In terms of time, the magnets 1 or 2 only react before the self-holding relay 23 and the step magnet 12 take effect, i.e. H. the shift lever 4 is first adjusted before the step magnet rotates the wheel 9 in the specified direction of rotation. The wheel 9 is assigned circuit breaker contacts 5, 6 and 7 on the circumference according to the different coin values, but these are located in different levels. Contact 5 is the lowest
Coin value is in the lowest
Level, so that when a 10 groschen coin is inserted, wheel 9 comes to a standstill after just 300 revolutions.
Correspondingly, the wheel 9 runs through an angle of 1500 for a 50 groschen throw and for one shilling
3000 in that contact 6 in the level corresponding to 4 'or contact 7 in the level according to 4 "of the first of the switching levers brought into this level is made to respond and the overall circuit is interrupted. 4 "adjusted
Shift levers are brought back into the starting position by the overrun cam 8.
An intermediate gear 14 transmits the partial rotary movements corresponding to the individual coin values to a counting wheel? ?, which assumes its starting position.
A pin 17 attached to this counting wheel 11 such that it can be laterally displaced touches a contact 13 that releases the vending machine goods compartment after adding up coins that together correspond to the specified price of goods - in this example it is 1, 10 S.
The front side of the counting wheel 11 can be provided with the consecutive coin denominations of 0, 10-1, 10 S with a given division, so that the sum that has been inserted is visible through a window.
Furthermore, such pins 17 can be attached on both sides of the wheel 11, likewise at different radial distances, the respective contacts 13 being pivoted closed into the relevant position by a selected push button actuation.
During the removal process, a contact of a circuit on the machine side is closed, via which a clutch magnet coil 15 receives power and, acting in the direction of the arrow, uncouples the counting wheel by moving the retaining plate 16 from the gearbox 14. The counter wheel 11 that has become free and provided with a tension spring rotates backwards to its starting position. At the end of the removal process, the coupling magnet 15 is again de-energized and the plate 16 with the wheel 11 is brought back into the coupling position with the aid of a tension spring 24.
This coin counting device can be designed for even more types of coins and different prices of goods using several magnets according to FIGS. 1 and 2 and with a different circular division, for example 100 and 150, as well as the provision of more than three latching points of the switching lever 4.
