Double axle suspension for three-axle vehicles
The invention relates to such a double axle suspension for the axle pair of a three-axle vehicle consisting of a front axle and a rear axle, in which the front axle is assigned a front axle spring pair and the rear axle is assigned a rear axle spring pair and the rear end of each Voider axle spring with the front end of the assigned rear axle spring via links and a fixed one Axis of rotation possessing compensation lever are connected to one another and wherein the compensation lever is mounted directly on the vehicle frame above the spring ends that it connects. In a suspension of this type, the invention is characterized in that the rear end of each front axle spring and the.

The front end of the assigned rear axle spring are vertically above one another and the connection of the lower spring end with the end of the compensating lever located above is made by a link consisting of two parallel straps, in such a way that the two link halves enclose the rear end of the front axle spring between them.

In this way two things are achieved: one can use long springs and thus achieve favorable suspension properties; Because the springs lie in the same longitudinal plane, there are no additional moments stressing the suspension: these measures also facilitate the execution of the rear axle pair with the same track. The suspension according to the invention also. The greatest possible approximation of the two rear axles is made possible despite the large spring length, which improves the ability of the vehicle to negotiate curves with a small radius of curvature, i. H. the load and speed, which are still permissible with regard to the behavior in the curve, are greater than before.

An example of a suspension according to the invention is shown in the drawings, u. FIG. 1 shows a vertical longitudinal section through the frame part of a vehicle which has the suspension according to the invention and FIG. 2 shows a cross section to FIG. 1 according to section line x-x.

The chassis shown in FIG. 1 normally moves to the left and the wheels 13 and 14 on the right-hand side of the vehicle can be seen, with wheel 13 belonging to the second and wheel 14 belonging to the third set of wheels. The suspension device for the rear axle 12, i.e. H. the third axis consists essentially of a two-armed compensating lever 1, 8 which can be pivoted about a pin 2 which is mounted in the rigid longitudinal member 5 of the carriage. A link is articulated to the arm 8 by means of a pin 4, the lower pin of which is used to receive one end of the front axle spring 9, 9 ', by which the front axle 11 is supported via the support element 10. The other end 9 of this leaf spring is held in an articulated manner in the bracket 15.

The third pair of wheels can be designed according to patent no. 197215; the wheel 14 is accordingly pivotable about the axis y-y (FIG. 2). The rear axle suspension spring 6, 6 'is hinged with its rear end 6' in a bracket 16 of the longitudinal member 5, while its front end hangs in the lower end of the link formed from two parallel straps 7, 7 ', the upper end of which is hinged through the pin 3 is connected to the compensation lever l, 8.

It can therefore be seen that the rear end 9 'of each front axle spring 9, 9' and the front end 6 of the associated rear axle spring 6, 6 'lie vertically one above the other and the connection of the lower spring end with the end of the compensating lever 8 above it is made up of two parallel straps Link 7 takes place in such a way that the two link halves enclose the rear end 9 'of the front axle spring 9, 9' between them.

In this way it is achieved that the wheel sets 13 and 14 can be arranged as close together as the tires allow and that the wheels have a common plane of symmetry when driving straight ahead.
