Device for boiling out and bleaching of vegetable fiber material by means of circulating superheated liquid.

When bleaching vegetable fibers by means of circulating superheated liquid with the now known devices, such as B. those of the German patents No. 116762 and No. 1306M 1, care must be taken to ensure that the insoluble saponification products entrained by the bleaching liquid and the like. The like. Impurities are not deposited on the fiber material, so that irregular bleaching, which is prone to stains, is not caused.

For this purpose, according to the present invention, a filter is switched into the circuit of the superheated bleaching liquid (strontian liquor, caustic soda, mixture of strontian liquor and caustic soda, etc.), which retains the solid impurities mentioned, so that the bleaching liquid, when it passes through the filter, respectively insoluble saponification products and the like Like. Is released and as a result of which the goods are bleached evenly and spotless.

In this case, however, it is essential to switch on the filter in front of or behind the fiber material container in the pressure line of the pump keeping the overheated bleaching liquid in circulation, since when such a filter is switched on in the suction line feeds the superheated liquid to the pump. As a result of the insufficient pressure present, the filter could easily become clogged, which would cause an interruption in the liquid column feeding the pump.

The drawing illustrates in Fig. 1 the invention, in the device according to
 EMI1.1

The calibration liquid coming from the pump flows through pipe A, four-way valve T? and pipe C to the upper compartment D of the filter vessel F and flows through two layers of filter material G, H located one above the other, which are located between the perforated floors I, J and are kept separated from one another by a sieve-like partition K. In this filter the liquid leaves all insoluble saponification products and the like. Like. Impurities back and flows cleaned out of the chamber M through the

the expansion tank 0 to return to pump P and repeat the described run. By switching tap B, the filter can be temporarily switched off from the Bloich liquid circuit.

Wool, cotton, linen, jute or cotton, linochar, charcoal, graphite, sand, glass wool, asbestos, etc. can be used as filter material in the filter vessel.
