Fig. 1.
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Cold and heat insulating combination glazing
Both double and multiple glazing made of silicate glass and glazing made of transparent or translucent plastic are known in the construction industry.
The so-called composite glasses, which consist of silicate glasses with a tightly fitting intermediate layer of plastic layers and have been used in technology for the most varied of purposes, as safety glasses, etc., have also acquired great importance. The heat-insulating properties of multiple glazing are of great importance when designing modern buildings with large glazing areas and also for saving heating material and reducing noise. However, the high weights occurring with the multiple silicate glass designs mentioned make the construction very expensive in many cases and, above all, make the assembly work on high, not easily accessible industrial buildings more difficult.
In addition, in those cases in which inclined glass surfaces with putty-free construction and single glazing are installed, it is often not possible to subsequently improve the thermal insulation of the glass roof structure by installing double glazing, since the load-bearing capacity of the substructure is no longer sufficient due to the additional glass weight.
In the manner according to the invention, a cold and heat insulating combination glazing, in particular industrial glazing, z. B. for glass roofs and windows in putty-free execution in the silicate glass is connected with translucent plastic with the interposition of cavities, created by the fact that individual composite panels, which have elastic plastic intermediate links on all sides to compensate for different expansion stresses between the panes on the edge delimitation, in putty-free construction on flexible or elastic pad are laid on the support surfaces of a supporting structure, for. B. rests of rungs.
Exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawing. FIGS. 1 and 2 show, in section with a diagrammatic representation, two versions of the combination glazing according to the invention. FIG. 3 illustrates the connection and sealing on the ridge and FIG. 4 the sealing on the eaves in section for the embodiment according to
Fig. 1.
Where the combination glazing units are to be connected to form larger coherent glazing areas, it is possible in accordance with the invention to lay the combination of silicate glass 1 and plastic pane 2 in a putty-free construction on flexible or elastic substrates 10 of a rung 19, as shown in the parallel perspective Representation of Fig. 1 can be seen.
Another measure of the invention is to support the connection point of the silicate glass sheets 1 and the plastic pane 2 at their edge on the supporting structure or the rung 19 in such a way that the connection point is supported along the longitudinal edge of the sheet and accordingly over its entire length by the effect of the glazing weight and the Connection force of the putty-free construction, which can be exerted in a known manner either by screw or wedge, is compressed, which secures or relieves the connection point itself and still the effect of stretching forces in the interposition of the flexible or elastic support 10 Allows direction of the glass panel plane.
Since, in the case of putty-free glazing, the screw connections, etc., which pass through from the inside of the glazing, i.e. from the rooms heated in winter to the outside of the building, represent a very undesirable cold bridge, an air space 11 is also provided on the outside of this glazing in the manner according to the invention is arranged between the force-transmitting cover strip 12 and a second cover strip 13 attached at a certain distance above it (the former or the latter can be made of poorly thermally conductive material). A thermal insulation strip 14, which can be flexible or elastic, is arranged in a known manner under the cover rails.
The screw connection 15 arranged inside the glazing, which brings about the cohesion of the construction via a retaining bridge 16, is in accordance with the invention on the outside by a plastic nut 17
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Completed in a wise manner in order to render this last dangerous point of the thermal bridge harmless. Between the outer cover rail 13 and the inner cover rail 12, a spacer 18 is expediently provided below the nut 17.
In a manner according to the invention, the insulating air space 11 engages between the outer and inner
Cover rail over the insulation space 3 between the silicate glass and plastic pane by a certain distance over, so that a weak
Place is avoided in the interaction of the various insulation measures.
The silicate glass pane 1 can consist of wired glass, as is prescribed for industrial buildings; However, this requirement can also be complied with or the protection against falling of damaged silicate glass sheets can be achieved in that, as shown in FIG. 2 in a parallel perspective, seen from below, a fastening option along the longitudinal glass edge, for example, can be achieved in accordance with the invention one
U-shaped metal or plastic profile 21 is created, to which individual collecting strands or entire stranded fabric 22 are again attached, which catch the splinters when the silicate glass sheet 1 breaks.
In this case, the edge 23 of the plastic pane 2 is expediently guided around the silicate glass sheets 1 in accordance with the embodiment of the invention and as shown in FIG. 2 and connected to the silicate glass sheet on the top with an elastic support 4 interposed.
In this way, the safety net 22, if it consists of metal or iron wire, is accommodated in a corrosion-protected manner between the two components of the combination glazing. Furthermore, this embodiment according to the invention achieves a particularly stable panel construction because the load-bearing capacity of the silicate glass panel 1 is not weakened by the safety wire mesh prescribed for industrial buildings. This consideration deserves special attention because it is well known that the inserted wire does not increase the load-bearing capacity of the glass panel, as is the case with reinforced concrete, but on the contrary, the load-bearing capacity of this panel is weakened by wire inlays. This measure also achieves a technical and economic advantage.
In a manner according to the invention, according to
3 on the ridge of the putty-free glazing, where the glass roof bars 19 meet at the ridge angle 24, on the upper delimitation of the
Glass roof a double ridge seal is attached in that a force-transmitting ridge cover (ridge sheet 26 made of metal or similar.) And on the outside, separated by a certain insulating space 27, an outer ridge seal 25 made of plastic or similar. is provided. This insulating space extends over the distance 28 over the insulating space 3 between silicate glass 1 and plastic pane 2.
The seal on the eaves is designed according to FIG. 4 in a manner according to the invention. The rung 19 rests on the wooden frame 29 selected for example in the present case and is connected to it by the lateral angle bracket 30. The combination pane protrudes at the eaves with the glass panel over the rung 19. The connection point between the plastic pane 2 and the Glatafel 1 with the intermediate position of the elastic seal 4 is set back right up to the end of the rung, so that the upper edge of the eaves strip, which is made of force-transmitting material, for example sheet metal, rests resiliently against this glass-plastic connection point and thus the Connection itself supported or relieved. A plastic eaves molding 32 is then placed in front of the eaves molding 31, so that an insulation space 33 is delimited between the two eaves molding.
The effect of this eaves strip can be increased by attaching a further eaves strip part 34 inclined towards the inside of the glass roof in that the additional insulating air space 35 created between 34, 31 and the plastic pane 2 overlaps the isolation space 3 of the combination glass panel.
In the above description, only one pair of sealing strips on the ridge and eaves and above the glass joint is mentioned or drawn. Of course, in the manner according to the invention, it is also possible to arrange several strips so that a number of isolating air spaces H, 27 and 33 are created. Metallic and plastic strips can also be arranged in a different order.
The above description as well as the figures show the combination glazing according to the invention using flat silicate glass sheets. Of course, the invention is also possible in a corresponding manner when using corrugated glasses or corrugated wire glasses in combination with corresponding flat or wave-shaped plastic panes.
