Tondämpfer für Klaviere.
EMI1.1

Austrian PATENT NUMBER 1 959 1 HELENE EDLE VON BAUSSNERN IN VIENNA.
Sound mutes for pianos.
EMI1.1
The device should be able to be attached safely and easily to finished pianos of any kind without any prior measures or changes to the piano, and it should also ensure quick and easy operation for the user.
Fig. 1 shows the front view, Fig. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 show details of the device in baller size. FIG. 7 shows the total view of the grand piano and FIG. 8 shows a damping for a piano with a dampening cable that can be suspended, which is particularly advantageous for lent instruments. The two interconnected rods a, al, which can be moved in the tube b for the purpose of lengthening (Fig. 1), lie on the iron struts (in the pianino they hang between the wall and bayonet rods).
2 shows the hinge part h, the bent prongs of which hold the felt strip stiffened and stiffened on the hinge side with the metal band cl.
The fabric is connected by the metal straps c to the fixed bracket e and the adjustable bracket i with a hinge r. On the rods a, a1 by means of clamps e and i in the same sliding metal strips c are attached, which the
EMI1.2
attached eccentric y leads. In the case of crossings without a spreader, the arrangement is made so that the lower lying felt strips are operated by means of strips cl branching off from the metal bands c (FIG. 6). The two adjustable parts of the rod a1 in the tubes 6 are pressed directly against their position and fixed by screws s, so that the bearing friction prevents the rod from rotating around its axis and consequently also prevents the felt strip from being moved unintentionally.
Fig. 8 shows an embodiment of a damper for pianinos. The damper strips j hang by means of metal strips c in a slotted rod a, around each of which a band n, nl is looped. Band nl is attached to the clip bar at 11, band n2 leads to a sliding button k, which is used for adjustment. The shaft a is divided so that the connecting wires i can be attached at any point along the entire shaft. The button k can be moved in a part f, which can be easily and detachably attached to the piano back wall p with screws.
The part f consists of two guide pieces for the button and the band connected by a bracket made of sheet metal, the bracket being used to hang part f on the back wall of the piano. By adjusting this button, the split shaft a is rotated by means of the band M, thereby moving the felt strip in a semicircle so that it comes between the string and the hammer head.
