Abstract

DESCRIPTION: “Felling combination” The invention relates to a tool for forestry that is a combination of a felling jack and an ax, sappel or hatchet. It consists of a steel plate which is attached to the back of an ax, sappel or hatchet. It protrudes over the head of the ax, sappel or hatchet and is inserted into the sawing gap. The tree to be felled is levered up by lifting on the stem. The connection of these two tools can be fixed by welding, forged or removable by a plug-on system. If the felling jack is not needed, it can be removed or put back on rotated by 180 °. Thus, the steel plate stands in the direction of the handle and is also a protection for the handle when driving in a felling wedge.

Such devices are already known, they have also proven themselves. A disadvantage, however, is that the forestry worker always has to carry 2 separate tools with him to cut down the trees, without having his hands full (chainsaw, jerrycan, ax, felling jack, etc.) The object of the invention is to do so therefore to relieve the forestry worker and make his work easier when felling trees.

The problem is solved with this invention in that with this combination tool large trees can be wedged in by felling wedges, and small to medium-sized trees can be levered with the felling jack. This saves the forestry worker a tool and also avoids the risk of losing a tool. Because the chainsaw can only carry one additional tool at work and therefore has to leave another one somewhere. Another problem is solved by removing the felling jack on the detachable version and thus having a normal ax, sappel or hatchet or mounting the felling jack rotated by 180 ° (protruding steel plate in the direction of the handle) and thus the handle when driving in felling wedges is protected and breakage of the stem is avoided.
