Materials ausgeführte Klemme mindestens im

Clamp for connecting conductors made of different metals
To make connections between lines made of different metals in the electrolytic voltage series, e.g. For example, to ensure reliable operation between copper and aluminum cables, terminals are used in which the conductor is made of one metal
Terminal parts made of this metal, the other conductor is connected with terminal parts made of the other metal. The points at which the terminal parts of different metal touch each other must also be protected against the effects of air and moisture by suitable insulation measures. The construction of such clamps is naturally complicated and expensive.
A number of proposals have also become known to produce terminals for conductors from different metals uniformly from one metal and to exclude the free contact of different metals in the terminal by means of additional two-metal inserts in the form of strips, tubes, stirrups, etc.
Such clamps, however, require additional parts, that is to say increased material requirements, and their installation is more complicated than that of conventional clamps.
In the case of pipe connectors for lines made of different materials, in which the conductors are connected to the connecting piece by pressing (drawing or rolling), it is also known to provide the connecting pipe inside with linings of those metals from which the conductors are made, the Connection between pipe and metal lining can be made by plating or welding. The use of such metal linings and the types of connection mentioned are only possible with simple cylindrical parts, with shapes such as the parts of clamps, but associated with significant difficulties, especially if the connection is to be made so that a consistently intimate, absolutely tight Connection between the lining and the clamping part must be achieved.
The subject of the invention is a clamp for electrical lines made of different metals, which does not have the aforementioned difficulties, which therefore consists of the same metal, does not have any contact points of different metals that need special protection and also has no additional parts and can be installed in the same simple manner like that of clamps for two or more made of the same material
Ladder. According to the invention, it is preferably in the manner of a clamp for conductors
Material executed clamp at least in
The area of one of the conductors is provided with a metal coating obtained by spraying on or by electroplating, the composition of which is adapted to the conductor to be connected to the terminal.
One made entirely of aluminum
Terminal, which in itself is only suitable for connecting two or more aluminum conductors, can, for. B. thereby in the sense of the invention for the simultaneous connection of aluminum and
Copper conductors can be made suitable that they are provided directly with an adhesive coating of copper in the clamping area of one conductor. Conversely, a copper clamp can also be used for aluminum conductors by applying an aluminum coating in one or more clamping areas.
It is at all possible to choose the terminal material independently of the conductor metals, e.g. B. an iron clamp for connecting copper or. To make aluminum cables suitable by giving each clamping area a corresponding metal coating. The tightly adhering metal coating does not require any special air or moisture protection, so that apart from the possibility of using simple and customary terminal shapes directly, there is also no need to isolate points of contact between different metals in the area of the terminal.
