Electric machine rotors
As is well known, the rotors of electrical machines, in particular synchronous machines, usually consist of an actual rotor body and the poles or pole pieces. The poles can either be cast together with the pole wheel and the pole shoes screwed on, or the poles can be produced separately and on the rotor body by means of screws or
Dovetails or hammer heads. Up to now, efforts have always been made to design the rotor body in such a way that the hubs are arranged symmetrically to the rotor rim or to the poles.
In the case of large machines or higher loads, a free ring and a separate arm star have been provided in place of a one-piece pole wheel. The ring (rotor ring) to which the poles are attached is frictionally connected to the arm star by shrinking on or wedging.
These previously known types of rotors of electrical machines still have certain disadvantages. With vertical generators, for example, especially with umbrella generators that do not have an upper neck bearing, it is not possible with the previously known rotor designs to move the neck bearing arranged below the rotor hub as far as possible towards the center of the rotor in order to achieve favorable shaft loads.
The invention avoids these disadvantages in a rotor body for electrical machines, in particular for hydroelectric synchronous generators, which consists of a rotor ring and a secondary star, in that the arm width of the secondary star at the ring bore is smaller than the rotor ring width and the arm star is arranged asymmetrically to the rotor ring is.
The invention is illustrated in two exemplary embodiments.
In both figures, 1 denotes the hub star, 2 denotes the pole wheel ring (rotor ring) and 3 denotes the poles with winding. According to the invention, the arm star 1 is arranged asymmetrically with respect to the rotor ring 2. So that the rotor ring 2 cannot slip off the arm star 1 at the through speed, the arm star 1 is provided with beads or lugs 4 to take up the rotor ring weight. If that
Moment of inertia of the rotor ring 2 moves within normal limits, the rotor ring 2 is placed on the arm star 1 from above, the weight of the ring being on the already mentioned bulges of the noses 4, which with the
Arm star 1 can be made in one piece, supports.
If a higher moment of inertia is required, as FIG. 2 shows, the
Inner diameter of the lower part 2 of the
Make the rotor ring 2 smaller than the outer diameter of the arm stem 1. In this case, the bead or the lugs 4 are then detachably, for example unscrewable, arranged on the hub star 1 so that the rotor ring 2 can be placed on the arm star 1 from below.
From FIGS. 1 and 2 it can be seen that in the exemplary embodiments of the invention shown in these figures, the length of the hub 5 is also made smaller than the width of the rotor ring 2 at the ring bore. This gives space for accommodating the neck bearing 6 arranged under the runner and thus avoids bending stresses in the arms of the arm star 1 and unfavorable shaft stresses.
