Thread cutting stock with adjustable tangential cutting jaws.
The invention relates to a thread cutting stock with adjustable Tangentialschneidbaeken, the holder within a square recess of a guide body on each other and slidingly arranged on the side surfaces of the recess and by acting on one of. they are adjustable with respect to the workpiece. In the known devices of this type, the Schneig jaw holders are surrounded or covered by the jaw guide body or the cover in such a way that the length of the adjustable cutting jaws is limited by the width of the recess of the guide body or the width of the cover.
According to the invention, limiting the length of the cutting jaws is avoided by
EMI1.1
that their ends facing away from the cutting edge can protrude transversely to the clip axis beyond the parts of the guide body surrounding the recess.
Another feature of the invention is that the support parts of the die holder
EMI1.2
cover the parts of the cutting jaw holder lying within the recess of the guide body and the side surfaces of this recess and are supported on the guide body.
In the drawing, an example embodiment of the subject invention is illustrated, u. FIG. 1 is a top view of the die stock without an end cover, partially in section along the line G-H in FIG. 2; Fig. 2 is a section along the line i-B in Fig. 1, but with a final

Section along the line E-F in Fig. 1. Figs. 5-7 show the oscillating body, designated 18 in Fig. 2, in various positions.
One cutting jaw 1 is adjustably arranged in a guide 5, each one consisting of a support part 2 and a guide part 3. The guide parts 3 of the cutting jaw holder lie in a square, frame-like recess which is formed by surfaces 9 of a guide body 4. The support parts 2 are covered by an annular cover 26, which with the help of spacers and with the help of the guide body 4 penetrating bolts on

share 3 and the guide body 4, more precisely: to ensure between the boundary surfaces 8 of the guide parts 3 and the guide surfaces 9 of the guide body 4, the support parts have 2 lugs 27 (Fig. 1).
The guide parts 3 of the die holder have wedge-shaped side surfaces with which they are supported against one another in the manner shown in FIG. Between the adjacent support parts 2 of the cutting jaw holders projecting beyond the guide limitation are free spaces 7 through which the cutting chips can flow off and through which the lubricant can be brought to the work stations.
In one of the four guide parts 3, a sliding block 11 is rotatably mounted by means of a pin 12.
This sliding block 11 engages in a groove 13 of a rotating body 14 which is rotatably arranged below the guide body 4 in the housing 15. In a downwardly elongated, cylindrical sector of the rotating body 14, a toothing 16 is provided in which a worm 17 engages, which in turn is accommodated in an oscillating body 18. The oscillating body 18 has the shape of a ring
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
cutout which is mounted between the inner edge 19 of the housing 15 (Fig. 2) and the rotating body. The oscillating body 18 is also supported by a bottom ring 20 screwed to the housing 15. The oscillating body 18 can be pivoted about the main axis, u. alternatively with the help of an eccentric pin 23 which engages a sliding block 22 which is positioned radially to the pivot axis in a groove 21
EMI2.1
Bolt 24.
5 and 6 show the two end positions of the bolt 24 and thus that of the eccentric pin 23 the associated guide part 3. The displacement of this guide part causes the thread cutting stock to open or close.
If one assumes, for example, that according to the representation in FIG. 1, the guide part 3 carrying the rail element is displaced along the edge 29 of the recess provided in the body 4 in the direction of the arrow 30, this guide part presses with its bevel 31 against the corresponding bevel 32 of the next guide part 3 in the printing direction, so that it is displaced in the direction of arrow 34 on the edge 35 of the recess.
In the same way, this second guide part acts on the third and this in turn acts on the fourth guide part. In this way, the cutting edges of the cutting jaws 1 approach one another. This eccentric adjustment device is used as a coarse or quick adjustment. The end positions of the eccentric 23 are achieved in that the sliding block 22 abuts the inner wall of the housing 15 with an end face 25. In these end positions of the eccentric 23, the fine adjustment of the cutting jaws 1 takes place by rotating the worm 17.
