Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
Verlustarmer, keramischer Werkstoff.

Low-loss, ceramic material.
Ceramic materials with a coefficient of thermal expansion of 40.10-7 to 50.10-7 em / emo C are required for melting on glasses that fuse with tungsten or molybdenum. Soap stones, alkali-free magnesium salts in general, magnesium oxide or other oxides mixed with beryllium oxide as a binder or building material for electrical engineering purposes are known, but without the above-mentioned expansion coefficient.
The common porcelains, which have such a coefficient of expansion, have the disadvantage that they have very high dielectric losses due to their high alkali content and due to their construction from a mixture of glass-like components with crystals and only have a low resistance to temperature changes and low mechanical strength.
The invention relates to a low-loss, ceramic material whose heat
EMI1.1
consists of a Speekstein-Kaolin mixture with a soapstone content of 25 to 40%. This material is obtained by mixing 10 to 40% beryllium oxide with a mixture of Speekstein and Kaolin of the specified composition and subsequent firing.
The material obtained in this way shows a crystalline structure and for this reason has very favorable mechanical properties. The dielectric loss angle 5 is less than 10. 10-4. The material can be deformed dry or wet using the usual ceramic processes and fired in a vacuum-tight manner without the addition of a flux. The firing temperature is between about 1300 and 1400 C.
