<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
Solange also Trennstrom, d. h.
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

Telephone exchange system for broadcast systems.
The invention relates to a telex switching system for broadcast systems.
In systems of this type, connections are established in such a way that only one participant can send while all the others receive its transmission.
A circuit arrangement is already known in which a relay circuit is used to automatically switch over as soon as a subscriber wants to make a broadcast while the system is idle. The other participants are switched to receive.
This known circuit has the disadvantage that only subscriber stations can be connected that are connected to a specific office by connecting lines.
The invention is based on the object of creating a broadcasting circuit for television traffic to which subscribers far from one another can be connected without considerable effort. According to the invention, this is done in that the nodes in which the connection lines of a group of subscribers are combined with dialers switched as call seekers. These so-called transmitter seekers are designed in such a way that they switch the transmitting device of the subscriber identified by a call to the receiving devices of all other subscribers. The transmitter seekers keep this circuit up until it is triggered by the calling subscriber.
The node itself appears with the entirety of the subscribers recorded by it via an exchange connection line as a circular subscriber to another node.
1-3 show an embodiment of the invention.
According to the invention, the above problem is solved in the following way:
In Fig. 1 a scheme of such a system is shown. The subscribers, which are numbered consecutively from 1 to 15, are grouped together in such a way that all subscribers that are physically close to one another (e.g. the subscribers of a city or a district) are combined by an exchange, a so-called node Nodes of one and the same system are assigned the same order and, with all of the participants assigned to them, are in a participant relationship with another node.
According to the switching state of FIG. 1, the participants 1-4 participants in node A, participants 5-8 participants in node B, participants 9-11 participants in node C and participants 12-15 participants in node E. The nodes A and C are themselves participants in node B with all of the participants assigned to them, while node D is itself participants in node C with all of the participants assigned to it.
The system according to FIG. 1 is shown in the switching state that exists as soon as subscriber 1 appears as a calling subscriber. The individual possible directions of traffic are characterized by the arrows entered in the respective subscriber lines.
FIG. 2 shows the system as in FIG. 1. The only difference is that in FIG. 2 this system is shown in the circuit state which occurs when the subscriber 15 calls. The arrows in the subscriber lines in turn characterize the only possible traffic directions in the case of connection setup, i.e. i. the call originating from subscriber 15,
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The schematic representations in FIGS. 1 and 2 clearly show that a transmission carried out by a subscriber is distributed simultaneously to all the other subscribers in this system, whereby these other subscribers, as already mentioned above, can only receive but not send.
Any subscriber can appear as the calling subscriber in such a system.
3 explains in schematic form a node office corresponding to the system described above. T1, T2 are any two subscribers belonging to the node office in question. Kn is another node office. All subscriber lines TL, that is to say also the line coming from the further node exchange, are, as already mentioned above, equated with one another. Briefly, the switching facilities of this node exchange function as follows:
For example, if subscriber T2 wishes a circular connection, he establishes this by actuating his call organ. This actuation of the call organ of subscriber T2 exerts a stimulus on the transmitter seeker SS of the node office, which causes it to start.
The arm of the transmitter seeker SS successively sweeps all the contacts assigned to the individual subscriber lines until it encounters the contact of the calling subscriber, in this case T2. If he has reached the contact assigned to the calling subscriber, he checks for this. In this case, all the connecting lines that exist within the node exchange between the individual subscriber lines and the bus line L are switched to the bus line by closing the contacts arranged in these connecting lines. The only exception to this is the connection line that exists between the subscriber line of the calling subscriber and the trunk line. The contact arranged in this line does not close.
If the calling subscriber T2 now transmits, the impulses given by him run to the contact of the transmitter seeker SS assigned to him and from there via the arm of the transmitter finder to the bus line L and from the bus line L to the connecting line to all subscriber lines of the others Attendees. Since the node exchange Kn also has a subscriber relationship with the node exchange described above, the subscriber impulses also run towards it.
The incentive that arises when the contacts arranged in the connecting lines between the subscriber lines and the collective line L are closed acts on all called subscribers as a call, which is used by the actual subscribers to remotely switch on their teleprinters, while it acts on the node exchange Kn in the same way like the call from subscriber T2 to the node exchange described, d. H. that all subscribers of the node exchange En, including any further node exchanges connected to the node exchange Kn, are switched to the connecting line which runs from the node exchange described to the node exchange Kn.
Using the exemplary embodiment of such a circular writing system given in FIG. 4, the switching operations described in principle above are explained in detail.
In the middle of FIG. 4, the circuit arrangement of a node exchange is shown to which, for example, two subscribers are connected. One of these subscribers is a local subscriber who is connected to the node exchange by means of a standard relay termination RAO. The second subscriber, who can be a remote subscriber or a further node exchange, is also coupled to the node exchange by a conventional relay termination circuit RAZ. If, for example, the local participant of the node office wants a circular connection, he actuates the call organ of his remote switching device of the usual design and thus closes a circuit for the call relay R of the relay termination RAO.
When the relay responds, an auxiliary circuit for the subscriber-side winding of the Ejssi relay is closed in the usual way by the contact rl, whereby the Eg relay moves from its incorrect rest position, the character position, to its correct rest position, the separating position shown. The contacts r2 and ra prepare circuits that are not essential for the present consideration in the usual way. Contact r4 closes an incentive circuit for relay A. This circuit runs as follows: -OB, contact%, winding of relay A, contact al of relay A, actuated contact r4, contact t6, contact anl, earth.
The contact al is designed as a follow-up contact, so that it switches a holding circuit for the relay A without causing a power interruption. This holding circuit is as follows: -OB, contact a? i, winding of relay A, actuated contact ssi, winding of relay ON, contact, earth.
At the same time as the contact al, the contacts a2 -a4 are folded over. Via the contact a2 the transmitter relay becomes <S '. Bi the traffic direction leading from the node exchange to the calling subscriber is switched off and placed in a holding circuit, which is only prepared by the response of the contact a2. The contact ctg forms a new circuit via w2 for the relay T of the calling subscriber. The test potential is switched to the segment of the transmitter seeker (arm SS2) assigned to the calling subscriber via the contact a4.
Since the winding of the stimulus relay AN is in the holding circuit of the relay A, this too is activated. The transmitter searcher working as a call finder is started up in the usual way via the contact an2. The contact arms of the transmitter then successively sweep the contact segments assigned to the individual participants. At the moment when the sender touches the contact segment of the calling subscriber, the test relay P responds via the arm SS2.
By means of the
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
taktes pi, the circuit of the rotary magnet D is disconnected in the usual way and thus the transmitter is brought to a standstill. Via the contact P5, the push button relay TR and the auxiliary relay HR are connected to the transmission wire coming from the relay termination of the calling subscriber RAO by means of the arm <S ') S'i.
The contact pg switches the contact tr of the push button relay TR to all the transmission relays of the called subscribers, for example to the relay SR2 (via the contact of the unaddressed call relay / and the corresponding same contacts of the subscribers not shown are all the transmit relays of the called subscribers with respect to the Contact tr of the push button relay connected in parallel). All T relays of the called subscribers, for example the relay T ', are made to respond in the relay termination RAP via contact P2. Depending on the response of the T relays, the R relays also respond; however, their contacts are switched the other way around than those of the relay T and therefore remain ineffective.
This response of the T relays of the called subscribers in connection with the isolating current coming from the relay termination of the calling subscriber via the contact, which is passed on to all transmission relays of the called subscribers by means of the push button relay TR, causes the called subscriber to be switched on or acts on for example, another node exchange connected to the node exchange in the same way as the call from the local subscriber described above to the node exchange in question. It means that
EMI3.1
its contact Mi, i.e. before contact v1 of relay V is closed. This ensures that the relay W does not yet respond.
The excitation circuit of relay U is interrupted by contact V2 after relay V has responded. In the exemplary embodiment, the relay U has a large drop-out delay due to the parallel connection of a capacitor with a very large capacity.
The drop-out delay of this relay U is dimensioned in such a way that in the time when this drop-out delay is in effect, all the called subscribers are switched on before the relay U finally drops. After the relay U has dropped out, an incentive circuit is closed for the relay W via the contacts Mi and i. The relay W then continues to catch its own contact tpi. The contact mu brings the relay T of the calling subscriber to respond. The circuit for this runs: -OB via the winding of the relay T, contacts a "iv" earth. The transmitting relay of the calling subscriber i + potential receives via the contact wu.
This potential in conjunction with the response of the relay T now completes the activation and commissioning of the transmitting equipment of the calling subscriber by means of the relay termination RAD. If the calling subscriber now sends, the telegraphing impulses run as follows: they hit the relay termination RAO via wires a and b and then the winding of the relay EjRi on the subscriber's side. This is activated by the incoming telegraph impulses and sends them via his contact to the relays TR and HR. The push button relay TR now passes these impulses through its contact tr on to the relay SR2 of the relay termination of the called subscriber and generally to all transmission relays of the called subscriber.
This transmission relay SR2 as well as the other transmission relays pass the impulses on to the receiving called subscribers; in this case by means of contact sr2.
Via contact p5, at the same time as the relays TR and HR, the end signal relay S was also applied to the transmit wire coming from the calling subscriber. This relay S has a drop-out delay and has one end of its winding on the negative pole of the telegraph battery.
As long as separating current, d. H. Operating potential (+ potential) comes from the calling subscriber, this relay remains addressed. The relatively short telegraphing impulses are bridged by the relay S drop-out delay. A resistor is connected to the + telegraph battery via the contact Si for symmetrical loading of the transmission wire of the calling subscriber.
If the calling subscriber has now passed on his circular, he actuates the closing sign organ of his subscriber station. This causes the relay ER, permanent signal current (potential of the telegraph battery) to send to the relays TR, HR, S. As a result, the final signal relay S is short-circuited and is delayed when it releases.
Relay Y is now activated via contact S2 in the following way: -OB, relay Y, contact s,, and earth. So far this relay Y could not respond, since the final signal relay S had responded before relay W. Relay X is activated via contact 1/1. With this, however, the test relay P is thrown off, which was only held via contact X2 after the relay W responded. Furthermore, the relays A and AN are deenergized via the contact Xi.
The release of the relay P causes the transmitter seeker to return to its rest position in the usual way via the contact pi. All the relays of the nodes and the relay terminations of the subscribers connected to these contact points are brought into their rest position one after the other via the contacts of the P relays and the relays A and AN, which have moved to their rest position. The return of the relays of the relay terminations to the rest position causes all subscriber stations to be switched off remotely in the usual way.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
This above-described set-up of a node exchange has a disadvantage that, in the event of an accidental line fault, there is the possibility that a transmitter seeker is unnecessarily stimulated to start up. Is z. B. in a trunk line that connects two nodes with each other, when checking a telegraph relay from the permanent signal position to the permanent separation position, this acts in the node office like a call from this trunk line. The transmitter finder runs onto the contact group of the line concerned, connects it with the push button relay and all other subscriber stations of the node are switched on as receivers.
As a result, an incentive runs over the trunk to the second node, which also causes all subscribers at this second node to be connected as receivers to the trunk from which the fault originated. The situation would then be that in the entire network all machines are connected as receivers and none as transmitters. As a result, it would not be possible to trigger this connection, which has come about incorrectly, from a subscriber station. An additional device has been added to ensure tripping in such a case. This consists mainly of a timer ZW. This timer is influenced by the polarized auxiliary relay HR, which is in series with the touch relay TR.
If the sending teletypewriter does not send a telegraph to the relays HR and TR, that is, if their contacts are permanently in the disconnected position, then the coil of the timer ZW is also under continuous current. The electric circuit for this runs as follows: -OB, timer ZW, contacts hr ,. p earth.
With each character current pulse, the coil of the timer is de-energized by opening the hr contact. The time switch in any known form is set up in such a way that its contact zw only closes when the time switch itself is continuously energized for a long time, for example one to two minutes. If this continuous current is briefly interrupted, the timer jumps back to its basic position and the start-up time begins anew. If the contact sw closes after about one to two minutes, the relay chain, which consists of the two relays X and Y, is energized.
The contacts a and X2 cause the existing faulty connection to coincide in the same way as described above. Via contact Pa and all contacts a2 of the A relays of the individual participants, the transmission relays of the. Relay termination permanent character current. The long fall time of the relay chain X and Y (the relays X and Y are delayed, in the present embodiment in particular the relay X by connecting a capacitor with a very large capacity in parallel) an undesired callback from a neighboring node or a long subscriber line is avoided.
Such a callback can arise, for example, when the switching means of the neighboring node or a long subscriber line, in particular when. this is a long-distance subscriber line need a certain time to bring about the idle state in the neighboring node or the remote subscriber station and in turn to send back the continuous signal stream.
