to be able to. When the hook is inserted into the nose, the eye of the hook is kept pointing downwards and only grasped around the tube 3, as indicated at 6b in FIG. When the tube 3 is pulled more and more upwards, the hook slides into position 6 and grips the wire, since the button Je cannot pass through the eye of the hook. As can be seen from FIG. 6, the screw cannula 1, which is somewhat tapered at the upper end and the upper guide wire of which has broken off, and the support cannula 7 are placed on the guide wire 5.

With arterial clamps 8, the tube 3, the screw cannula 1 and the support cannula 7 are held in their correct positions on the guide wire 5. Since the tube 3 is already in the tear duct, it is easily pulled out by pulling on the wire 5 and the screw cannula 1 then enters the tear duct. The guide wire 5 is then withdrawn through the nose, the tube 3 and the support cannula 7 being removed at the same time. The guide wire 2 of the screw cannula 1 is curved against the front wall of the nostril.

The screw cannula can of course be inserted into the tear duct in a number of ways, e.g. B. with the help of a silk thread pulled into the channel, but the method described above has proven to be the most convenient. The object of the present invention, namely the arrangement of a screw cannula in the tear duct, and the auxiliary device for introducing it, is not dependent on these different types of introduction.

The cannula can remain in the tear duct for a longer or shorter period of time, according to experience, for several months. It does not cause the patient any discomfort, in that the patient can even completely forget that the cannula is present until it is blown out when sneezing. Attempts carried out to widen the tear duct according to the present invention have already produced excellent results.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
1. A device for expanding the tear duct in the form of a flexible cannula, characterized in that the part of the cannula to be inserted into the tear duct consists of a metal wire (1) which is wound in the form of a screw, at one or both ends of which the wire is as The guide wire (2) continues to run.
