Device for eliminating hum and whistling from amplifiers.
In order to prevent amplifiers from interfering with or whistling, the input circuit is automatically short-circuited when not in use. This ensures that, for example, in a radio receiver with a device for record transmission, as long as the sockets for connecting the scanning socket or the like are free, even when the device is switched to "record transmission", neither hum nor other interference occurs or is recorded If a transformer is used in the input circuit, the primary winding is short-circuited in accordance with the invention to eliminate interference, so that fields from outside the input circuit or the transformer cannot reach the input tube and cause interference.
It is known to switch a receiver from reception to record playback, u. between z. B. in such a way that in the position on receiving the pickup sockets in series with the resonant circuit are short-circuited. However, the input of the amplifier is not short-circuited in this case, since the visual oscillation circuit is still on the grid.
Fig. 1 shows a circuit diagram for the application of the invention. The socket pair 1, 2 is used to connect the pickup. Hiebei an automatically acting switch is attached to the socket 1, which works in such a way that when the plug is inserted, the protruding nose 3 into the socket 1 moves laterally and thereby the contact 5 is opened via the contact lever 4, the short circuit of the socket pair 1, 2 causes. By connecting the line to the pair of sockets 1, 2, the short circuit of these sockets is eliminated and the scanning socket or the like is connected to the primary winding 6 of a transformer.
In the figure, the earthed iron core of the transformer is denoted by 7, while 8 is the secondary winding earthed at one end, which feeds the low frequency to be amplified to the amplifier via the shielded line 9.
When not in use, i. H. So, as soon as the sockets 1, 2 are free, the aforementioned switch causes the short-circuit of the sockets J, 2, which at the same time short-circuits the windings of the transformer and thus excludes the absorption of hum or interference voltages by the transformer or the Reduced whistling tendency of the input circle.
