Sattel für Fahr-und Motorräder od. dgl.
Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Sattel für Fahr-und Motorräder od. dgl. und besteht im wesentlichen darin, dass der Sattel durch eine mäanderformig gebogene elastische Bandstütze abgefedert ist.
Es sind bereits Sättel mit Blattfederung bekannt, die jedoch eine ungenügende Abfederung der Sattelfläche erzielen, da sie aus einem im Sattelunterteil befestigten, meist eingespannten Federblatt bestehen und durch die Einspannung die Federung behindert und brüchig wurde.
Erfindungsgemäss wird dieser Mangel durch die mäanderförmige Federblattkrümmung vollständig behoben und eine ausgeglichene Abfederung erzielt. Diese Ausbildung hat ausserdem den Vorteil, dass dadurch Sattel und Federung aus einem Stück Stahlblech od. dgl. gepresst werden können.
Ein weiterer Vorteil der Erfindung gegenüber dem bisher in Verwendung stehenden Sattel mit Spiralfederung besteht ausserdem in der Einfachheit der Herstellung, in dem Entfall der Nieten für die Befestigung der Spiralfedern unmittelbar auf der Sitzfläche und der Ausschaltung des äusserst unangenehmen Stossens der senkrecht angeordneten Schrauben-oder Spiralfedern.
In der Zeichnung ist eine beispielsweise Ausführungsform des Erfindungsgegenstandes dargestellt, u. zw. zeigt Fig. 1 eine Seitenansicht des erfindungsgemässen Sattels, teilweise im Schnitt und Fig. 2 eine Draufsicht auf den Sattel ohne Lederiiberzug.
Der aus einem Stück Stahlblech od. dgl. in üblicher Form gepresste Sattel 1 ist bei A geteilt und in der gezeichneten Weise zu den beiden unter einem Winkel o ; zueinander stehenden mäanderförmig vom Sattelbug zum Sattelende gebogenen Blattfedern 2, 3 ausgebildet. Die beiden unteren waagrecht gebogenen Federteile sind ungefähr im ersten Drittel ihrer Länge hochkant gebogen und mit einem Schlitz 4, 5 versehen, um den bekannten Befestigungsring mit eingekerbten Zähnen zur passenden Einstellung des Sitzes und zugleich auch den Sattel an der Sattelstange durch Schrauben Halt zu geben. Die elastische Zwisehenlage 6 aus Gummisehwamm, Filz od. dgl. liegt auf der Oberfläche des Sattels 1 und wird zweckmässig mit dem Leder 7, das mit Schrauben 8 od. dgl. seitlich am Sattelrand befestigt ist, überzogen.

The subject of the invention is a saddle for bicycles and motorcycles or the like and consists essentially in the fact that the saddle is cushioned by an elastic band support bent in a meander shape.
Saddles with leaf spring suspension are already known which, however, achieve insufficient cushioning of the saddle surface, since they consist of a spring leaf which is usually clamped in the lower part of the saddle and which hindered the suspension and made it brittle.
According to the invention, this deficiency is completely eliminated by the meander-shaped spring leaf curvature and a balanced cushioning is achieved. This design also has the advantage that it allows the saddle and suspension to be pressed from a piece of sheet steel or the like.
Another advantage of the invention over the previously used saddle with spiral springs is the simplicity of manufacture, the omission of the rivets for fastening the spiral springs directly on the seat and the elimination of the extremely uncomfortable bumping of the vertically arranged helical or spiral springs .

The saddle 1, pressed in the usual form from a piece of sheet steel or the like, is divided at A and in the manner shown to the two at an angle o; Leaf springs 2, 3 that are mutually meandering from the saddle bow to the saddle end are formed. The two lower horizontally bent spring parts are bent on edge approximately in the first third of their length and provided with a slot 4, 5 to hold the known fastening ring with notched teeth for the appropriate adjustment of the seat and at the same time also the saddle on the seat post by screws.
