Process for the production of products with or from rubber. The like. Existing patterned
Surface.
The invention relates to a method for the production of products made of rubber or the like with a patterned surface, in particular products with patterns in the manner of a grain, grain, corrugation, ribbing, embossing and the like. like., such. B. imitation leather, leather substitute u. The like, in which a rubber solution, latex mixture or the like of the appropriate color is applied to a mold provided with the pattern corresponding to the pattern, and this layer is replaced by another layer of the same or different material applied in any layer thickness or layer thickness, but expediently one Layer of the same material is reinforced accordingly, so the process is not based on pure rubber od. Like. Products is limited.
The process consists in spraying the pattern (graining or the like) so thinly or in such a wafer-thin layer that it is only solidified or held together by the layer that is subsequently applied by pouring or applying in any thickness, without this But layers do not have to be contiguous. The process enables the pattern to be produced in any color and to be combined with a layer produced in a different color, which means that the variety of patterns is almost unlimited in terms of color.
Of course, products manufactured in this way can also be provided with a base or
Deposit from z. B. Textiles, paper or the like. Are combined.
Such a method allows rubber od. Like. Products with the finest patterns, eg. B. Imitation leather in the finest designs.
An embodiment of the method is even expedient in which the pattern is produced in a non-cohesive form and is only combined into a unit by the subsequently applied layer, which thus participates in the pattern.
Should z. B. an imitation leather are produced, you can proceed in the following way.
First a mold is produced which has the indentations corresponding to the grain to be produced. Such a shape can e.g. B. be cast in plaster, but it is advisable to produce a master mold made of metal or the like. Materials that are suitable for repeated production of casts made of plaster or the like. A rubber solution, latex mixture or the like is sprayed onto this expediently horizontally mounted form in the color of the surface of the imitation to be produced at as flat an angle as possible, e.g. B. in such a way that the latex mixture is deposited primarily at the high points of the mold.
This latex mixture can be sprayed on in such a way that no coherent peelable layer is created, but rather the color particles are distributed over the surface in a punctiform manner without being connected to one another.
A second mixture is then poured onto this pretreated mold, u. Between the main layers resulting mixture and allowed to dry at the lowest possible temperature in order to avoid superficial skin formation.
When using plaster molds, the suction effect of the plaster favors rapid drying of the entire mass.
After drying has taken place, the plate on which the paint that was applied first is firmly combined with the base mixture can easily be peeled off.
Plates produced in this way can with input or. Documents such as B. made of paper, fabric and. Like., Provided and, if necessary, painted.

When using rubber, vulcanization takes place in hot air, depending on the mixture used.
