Tragbarer, in aufgeklapptem Zustande aufstellbarer Kleiderkoffer.

Portable clothes case that can be set up when opened.
The invention relates to a portable case consisting of two broad side parts and a narrow side part (back) arranged between them, which case can be set up in the unfolded state by means of a support leg. According to the invention, the broad side parts have, for their bracing, rotatably fastened adjusting rails which are supported against bolts and which terminate at the bottom in sideways open forks which can be hooked into bolts. The support leg consists of angled, handlebar-controlled side parts with a lower crossbar.
In the uppermost part of the opened case there is a U-shaped bracket, which can be moved in a sleeve, to hang up the clothes hanger, the upper leg of which has a rotatable tube piece with a radial wing slipped over it, which prevents the clothes hanger from falling out in the downward position. Also in the vicinity of the bottom of the upper case part are rods which can be telescoped into one another and which, in the extended state, serve to hang up the clothes outside the case. Side pockets are provided on the narrow sides of the two case halves.
In the drawings, an embodiment is shown u. Zw. In Fig. 1 a front view of the opened case, in Fig. 2 the same in side view. Fig. 3 illustrates the case diagrammatically in the half-open state. Figs. 4 and 5 show the struts and Figs. 6 and 7 show the foot on an enlarged scale in two views.
The case has two case halves 1, 2 made of leather, fiber, etc., which are articulated to one another by means of a back 3. The case part has a handle 4 on the outside. Furthermore, case locks 5 are provided with which the lock parts 5 ′ of the case half 2 work together when the case is to be closed. In order to keep the case in the extended position, a stiffening device is provided between the side walls 7, 8 of the two case halves. Each device has an arm 9 which is hinged to the pin 6 of the upper side wall 8 of the case. To prevent the case part 2 from tipping backwards, a stop 10 is provided.
The lower end of the arm 9 ends in a fork 11 which is open to the side and which engages via a bolt 12 of the lower side wall 7 of the case. The case part has an adjustable foot. This has side members which are connected to one another by a cross bar 14. Each side link consists of two pins 18

is articulated to the side wall 7 by means of a link 21. By folding up the handlebar 21, the transverse rod 14 with the side members enters the lower part of the case. The side members 15, 16 fold together. In the position of use, the weight of the case has the effect that the limb parts 15, 16 are secured in their position.
On the case part 2, directly on the upper wall 22, a U-shaped bracket 23 is arranged displaceably in a sleeve 24. On this hanger clothes hangers 25 can be hung, on which the clothes can be displayed. The upper part

on. This wing is so large that when it is turned downwards, its outer edge comes into close proximity to the hooks on the clothes hangers. This prevents them from being unhooked inside the case. In the vicinity of the bottom of the case part 2, immediately below the lower part of the sleeve 24, there are telescopically displaceable rods 27, 28 in the side walls 8

intended. When pulled out, they are used to hang clothes outside the suitcase.
29 are elastic straps with clasps 30 to keep the clothes in an immovable position during packing.
On the side walls of the two case parts, collapsible pockets 31 can be provided to accommodate small objects. The height of these pockets is arbitrary and is only limited by the height of the individual case part.
In contrast to known designs of footrests, slotted struts, in which pins slide, are not used here, which prevents items of clothing from being pinched and torn when the case is closed. The footrest is arranged in such a way that the back of the case is vertical, so that clothes can hang down freely.
