1. bei geringstem Fliessdruck (zirka 3 m) a) Kleinstwassermenge bei Höchsttemperatur zirka 700 C, b) Normalwassermenge bei Normaltemperatur zirka 350 C, e) Langsamzündung in 3-4 Sekunden ;

Control device, especially for gas-heated liquid heaters.
The automatic control device for actuating the valve in gas-heated automatic liquid heaters usually consists of a working element (membrane or piston) influenced by the water, the sides of which are under the action of a pressure difference generated by throttling or venturi, so that it is shifted in the direction of the greater force and the gas valve lifts against a spring force. However, this pressure difference cannot always be generated in the same size, since it increases with increasing water pressure, so that in the span between the lowest and the highest permissible operating pressure different forces act on the adjustment device and the same can be damaged as a result. In addition, the device must be adjusted for each pressure at the point of consumption.
The purpose of the invention is. To put the two sides of the working element of the automatic control device (e.g. a membrane) under an always equal pressure difference, regardless of whether the lowest or highest permissible water pressure is present or whether it fluctuates between these limits, so that every device without regulation can work within the pressure limit and, provided that the gas pressure is constant, the following performance requirements are met:
1. at the lowest flow pressure (approx. 3 m) a) smallest amount of water at maximum temperature approx. 700 C, b) normal water amount at normal temperature approx. 350 C, e) slow ignition in 3-4 seconds;
2. at the maximum permissible operating pressure a) limitation of the normal water volume at normal temperature, b) slow ignition not less than 3 seconds, d. In other words, at the slightest pressure, the smallest amount of water should still be so large that the maximum temperature of 700 C is not exceeded and ignition takes place in 3-4 seconds, but not too much at the maximum pressures that occur in practice, so the water is too cold The device flows out and the ignition time does not decrease.
According to the invention, this is done by a regulating mandrel, which increases from a smallest to a largest diameter and then decreases again, which in a tube provided with a groove-shaped extension, against a variable force, e.g. B. a spring, is slidably mounted.
Two pressure lines lead from the pipe to the working element (membrane or piston). From a certain point on, the pipe is drawn in in such a way that, in connection with the control mandrel pushed forward when the pressure rises, the resulting cross-section is reduced in such a way that the flow rate of water always remains the same despite the flow rate increasing with the pressure.
Fig. 1 shows the gas-heated liquid heater, in which the outlet tap 1, the heating element 2, the burner J and the pilot flame 4 branched off from the gas inlet 5 are shown schematically. The valve 6 is pressed onto the seat by the spring 7. The rod 9 leads from the membrane 8 to the valve 6.
The tubes 10, 11 connect the pressure tapping points 12, 13 to the membrane chamber 15, 16. In the special part 17 (control tube) of the cold water line 14, the control mandrel 18 is mounted in the two guides 19, 20 so that it can be moved longitudinally against a spring 21. A groove 23 is provided to the side of the controlling edge 22 of the control mandrel 18 in the rest position, from which the diameter of the control tube in the direction of flow decreases to a minimum in the position in FIG. 1.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The operation of the control device is initially at a very low pressure, z. B.
3 riz water column, described. After opening the tap 1, the water flows through the regulating tube 17 into the serpentine pipe 2. Through the connection 10, the full flow pressure reaches the membrane chamber 1-5; According to the control mandrel 18, the pressure is converted into speed, so that at the pressure removal; Place 1. 3 of the tube 11 and in the membrane chamber 16 a lower pressure than in the chamber 1-5 or a negative pressure prevails. The membrane 8 is displaced under the influence of the greater pressure in the chamber 15 and opens the valve 6 against the closing spring 7, and the gas can therefore to the burner 3. With a small amount of water, the regulating mandrel 18 remains in position a, FIG. 2 .
If the tap 1 is more open, however, at the same flow pressure, the regulating mandrel 18 is displaced under the action of the flowing water against the spring force 21 so far that the controlling edge 22 comes into the groove 23 (position b, FIG. 2) and through which it took place Increasing the cross section, more water gets into the device without the pressure at the extraction point 13 and in the pipe 11 increasing noticeably.
At about 10 m flow pressure, the control mandrel 18 assumes position e, FIG. 3. The control edge 22 has passed over the groove 23 and thus covered the enlarged cross section again. The pressure tapping point 13, the pipe 11 and the diaphragm chamber 16 are under a greater pressure as a result of the displacement of the control edge 22 in the direction of flow, so that the pressure difference between the pipes 10, 11 or between the chambers 15, 16 does not increase and thus also the time is not shortened for slow ignition. At even higher pressures, the control edge 22 approaches the drawn-in part 24 of the regulating tube 17, position d, FIG. 3, so that the flow cross-section is smaller than the flow velocity with increasing pressure, whereby the amount of water remains the same at the different pressures .
At the same time, the controlling edge moves further away from the junction 13 of the tube 11, so that in this case too the force on the membrane 8 is not greater and thus the ignition time is not reduced.
PATENT CLAIMS: 1. Automatic control device, in particular for gas-heated liquid heaters, in which the gas valve is raised by a membrane or the like, which is reduced on the one hand by the effect of full water pressure and on the other hand by a throttle device Pressures in the water line, characterized in that in a regulating pipe (17) with a pressure tapping point for the full water pressure (12) and one for the water pressure (13) reduced by the throttle or Venturi effect, a known per se, from a smallest to to a largest diameter increasing and again decreasing control mandrel (18) is provided, which od the water pressure against a spring force.
is shifted so that with a higher flow pressure the controlling edge (22) of the control mandrel and thereby the zone of the highest water velocity and the lowest pressure no longer stands above the pressure tapping point for the reduced water pressure (13), but is shifted in the direction of flow, whereby the aforementioned pressure tapping point (13), tube (11) and diaphragm chamber (16) exerts a greater pressure and so the pressure difference on both sides of the diaphragm (8) does not increase, so that the adjusting force of the diaphragm to overcome the closing force of the spring (7 ) for the gas valve (6) no impermissible increase and the time for slow ignition is not shortened.
