can. However, it has been shown that, surprisingly, despite the lengthening of the flue gas paths, there is no noticeable reduction in the chimney draft, which is probably due to the fact that in boilers without flue gas bypass the total amount of flue gas is concentrated exclusively in the rear vertical boiler flues when they are bypassed into the fox , Congestion and vortex formations occur, which are eliminated in the flue gas duct according to the invention, as a result of which any loss caused by the greater path length is compensated for.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown schematically in the drawing. 1 and 2 is a vertical section, Fig. 3 is a section along the line III-III through a sectional boiler with the device according to the invention, Fig. 4 shows the previously usual flue gas flow in the scheme, Fig. 5 shows the rough gas flow according to the invention and 6 the attachment of the flue gas reversing piece to the front wall of the boiler in an axonometric representation.
The sectional boiler with vertical flue gas ducts shown in FIGS. 1-3 is of a known type and is fired by an oil burner 1. The heating gases generated by the oil flame rise

climbed up at the back of the furnace, were sucked down in the rear vertical pulls and then directly into the fox 6.
According to the invention, the rear connection of the side collecting trains 4, 4 'with the
Fuchs and for this purpose a connection between these trains and the ash trap 7 was established on the front of the boiler and this was then connected backwards to the Fuchs. After the grate has been sealed off, the flue gases must now inevitably take the following route: They fall away from the combustion chamber 2 and pass through the vertical flues 3 and now sweep (not backwards as before, directly to the Rauchfuchs, but) forward, pass the front building 8, change thereby their
Direction 180 and go through the ash trap 7 into the smoke duct 6 (Fig. 5).
The connection of the side collecting trains with the ash drop chamber is preferably made by a box-like front structure on the front wall of the boiler, which can be made of one or more parts and made of metal, fireclay, clay bodies, etc. The connection of the collective trains with the ash fall chamber can also be established inside the boiler, e.g. B. by making appropriate openings in the partition 9 between the two spaces on the front. The fireclay overlay on the grate is labeled 10.
The original connection of the collective trains 4 with the fox 6 is either bricked up or closed by a cover 11 or the like. It has also proven to be advantageous to provide movable flaps as a conclusion, since it is then possible, for. B. to temporarily establish a direct connection with the fox to heat up and thus get an even better boiler train.
Finally, in the flue gas reversing piece 8, close to the connection to the lateral smoke ducts 4, 4 ', throttle valves 12 are installed, which also serve to regulate the draft. The arrangement at this point has the advantage over the usual that it can be operated without using rollers on the front of the boiler. A (main) smoke slide 13 is provided in the connection piece to the fox in a known manner. For the purpose of cleaning the smoke flues, closable cleaning openings 14 are attached to the front of the flue gas reversing piece, as is a connecting piece 18 for introducing a pyrometer.
According to the invention, the bypass chamber can also be used to preheat the combustion and additional air as well as the fuel. For this purpose, air ducts 15, 16 and the fuel line 17 are guided through the upper part of the box 8, possibly in the form of a pipe coil or as heating elements provided with ribs (FIG. 6). The jacket of the bypass chamber can also be designed in such a way that the chamber can be cooled by water.
