and the current flow is interrupted.
With the aid of the adjusting screw 22, it is possible to approximate the normal position (FIG. 1) of the tilt spring 16 more or less to its tilt position, which has the effect that the current or magnetic flux required to achieve the tilting force assumes different values. At the set screw can therefore z. B. a division can be attached, which indicates that in a certain position, the connected consumers at a given voltage z. B. may have 50 watts, 100 watts or 200 watts of power without the current limiter causing the shutdown.
If the current limiter has switched off automatically by connecting too high a wattage, it is possible to maintain it again using the following device:
The lever 5 carrying the contact 4 is mounted on a small bearing frame 26 by means of an axis 25 which is normal to the pivot axis of the rocker arm and has a downwardly curved second arm 27 protruding to the other side. On the frame 26 is another one-armed lever 28 on a mounted parallel axis 29, the free end of which cooperates with a push button 30, which protrudes from the housing. The spring 31 acts against the arm 27 in such a way that the contact 4 is pressed downwards against the contact 3 into the closed position shown in FIGS. 1 and 3.
If the current limiter has opened the contact 3, 4 (FIG. 2) and you want to re-establish the current connection, you press the button 30, which takes the lever 28 and, after pushing against the rocker arm J-, this also downwards. The contact lever 5 is indeed under the action of the spring. 11 also pivoted downwards, but does not get that far; that the contacts 3 and 4 touch, because the lever 28 soon hits the arm 27, pushes it downwards against the action of the spring 31 and thus raises the contact lever 5 again (position of the two levers shown in dashed lines in FIG. 3) .
Only when the push button 30 is released again does the spring 31 bring the two levers back into the closed position shown in FIG.
Because even when button 30 is depressed, the contacts. 3 and 4 do not touch, the so-called release is achieved, i.e. H. it is not possible to establish the contact closure by holding down the push button and therefore it is also impossible to carry out permanent maintenance if and as long as the current load exceeds the predetermined limit value.
The current limiter according to the invention can also be manufactured as a flush-mounted device. since the reset button 30 is attached to the uppermost cover plate.
