Power or work machine with predominantly rotating movement.
Machines with a predominantly rotating movement and a sickle-shaped working space are mainly used as blowers and compressors, but then also as feed pumps for liquids and as a power machine operated by hydraulic fluid. There are known types. the principle of which is that a cylindrical rotor, which is eccentrically mounted in a cylindrical housing, carries slides which can be moved in slots and which are pressed onto the running surfaces of the housing partly by spring pressure and partly by centrifugal force.
This version has. especially at higher speeds, the disadvantage that the very high centrifugal force of the slide is absorbed at a point where the relative speed between slide and housing is greatest, so that the resulting friction causes a loss of effect, which, in particular with fans, is particularly annoying.
The present invention relates to a particularly simple embodiment of the guides of the pistons in the displacers in such a way that they are designed as simple slots with opened edges and the profile of the pistons playing therein is shaped according to curves such that the pistons are in every possible relative position the piston against the displacer fill the slots.
The invention is shown schematically in FIG. It means 1 the shaft, 2, 3 the supporting organs (piston). 4 the displacer, 5 the guides attached to the displacer, 6 the housing, 7 the inlet opening, 8 the outlet opening, 9 the working space, 10 the sealing edge of the piston, 11 the control edge of the inlet opening. The curvature of the piston edge becomes very flat, which is why it is drawn in exaggeratedly in the figure for the sake of clarity.
The operation of the machine as a working machine is as follows. During the rotation of the piston, the liquid or the gas is sucked into the space 9 through the suction opening 7. As soon as the sealing surface 10 of the piston grinds the edge 11 of the suction opening, the material to be conveyed is pushed out through the pressure opening 8 of the housing and this play is repeated so often with each rotation. are present as pistons.
The mode of operation as a prime mover is similar. The pressure fluid (gas) enters the working space 9 through the openings 7, drives the piston 2 in front of it until its sealing surface 10 loops over the openings 8 and the pressure fluid flows out through the opening 8, whereupon the game repeats with the next piston .
For the sake of clarity, only two pistons are shown in the figure. However, more pistons can also be used without changing the principle of the invention.
