Universalgelenk m liegender Spitze beschreibt.

Compressors, especially for small refrigeration machines.
The invention relates to a compressor, in particular for small refrigeration machines, in which the compression is brought about by the movements of its housing with respect to a displacer arranged therein. It consists in the fact that a displacer that is movable in the compressor housing its movement through the effect of centrifugal force through the. externally driven movable housing receives.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown schematically in the drawing in FIG. 1 and in application to a small refrigeration machine in FIG. Fig. 1 is a partial section along the line II of FIG. 2, and this is a vertical section through the small refrigeration machine. In FIG. 2, a is the drive motor, b the compressor, e the condenser and d the evaporator of a small refrigeration machine.
The compressor consists of a housing gl (FIG. 1) enclosing a disk-shaped working space, which is connected to the evaporator d through the suction line e and to the condenser e through the pressure line t, as well as a disk-shaped displacer dz to the one back and forth moveable slide A is resiliently pressed. The compressor housing is mounted eccentrically on a disk of the drive motor shaft l by means of the extension k engaging in the ball bearing i (FIG. 2) and by means of the extension n engaging in the universal joint m so that it can oscillate but not rotate in the fixed support o.
When the machine is started, the compressor housing rotates,

Describes universal joint m lying tip. As a result, the displacer g2 is influenced by the effect of centrifugal force in such a way that it executes a rolling circular movement on the cylindrical wall of the disc-shaped housing space in the direction of the arrow and, in cooperation with the reciprocating slide h, sucks the refrigerant out of the evaporator and presses it into the condenser, from which it is returned to the evaporator in a liquid state with relaxation to a lower pressure.
With the effect of centrifugal force on the displacer, it is möglieh to drive it at high speed, high efficiency and avoiding any stuffing box and thereby create a z. B. for household and small commercial refrigeration machines suitable compressor of simple, compact design.
The condenser is arranged in a cooling water tank p and the evaporator in a brine tank q, the latter in a refrigerator 1 ". The whole machine is placed on the refrigerator by means of the stand s, which also serves as a protective cover.
The condenser and evaporator coils are built into the cooling water tank or brine tank and the connection with the rotating compressor is made by the flexible design of the upper part. The condenser releases the liquefied refrigerant to a collecting container x, from which it is let into the evaporator in a known manner through a valve z controlled by a float y.
26 (Fig. 1) is a check valve consisting of a spring bent in the shape of a horseshoe, which prevents refrigerant from flowing back from the condenser into the compressor. By means of the line 27, the slide is put under pressure on the side facing away from the displacer, for the purpose of supporting the pressure on the displacer by the refrigerant. of the working space of the compressor is movably arranged in the housing 91. it is resiliently pressed against the displacer by the spring 28, for the purpose of ensuring that the displacement ice rests closely on the side. A counterweight 29 is provided on the shaft I of the drive motor, with the aid of which the centrifugal forces of the compressor are balanced. The suction line e and the pressure line t can also be connected to the working chamber of the compressor by means of channels arranged in the slide h.
The small refrigeration machine described is only to be regarded as an application example of the subject matter of the invention. The real innovation consists in the principle of driving the compressor, which can be used for many other purposes, by means of centrifugal force.
