Saugeripistm flir.

 EMI1.2
 befestigt ist.

Suction lipistm for. Papermaking machines and methods of making the same.

The subject of the invention is a special design of the suction strips according to patent no. 133780.

The invention relates to that type of vacuum bar. in which the bar consists of a leather covering and a base made of another material, preferably wood.
 EMI1.1
Underlay is cemented. This measure ensures a connection with its base that can withstand the constant use of the leather. Furthermore, it is prevented that when the leather is worn the screens with any fastening means such as pins, screws and the like. Like., can come into contact. Such strips are also the most economical, since the leather can be worn down to practically complete wear without any danger to the precious metal cloths that are used as sieves.

The process of cementing leather strips onto the base (wooden base, synthetic material, metal) also enables these parts to be firmly connected without the use of pressure, which is also a great advantage, as it is practically pressing, which in most other cases is used for the appropriate connection of the necessarily 4-6 'long strips would be required, are not available. In some cases the lasts according to the invention can also be produced in such a way that the leather is cemented onto the base at the location of the paper machine.

It has proven to be very advantageous to roughen the surface of the leather to be cemented onto the base, if necessary also the corresponding surface of the base, before the putty is applied.

The leather is expediently impregnated with the same rigid and tough-making impregnating agents.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Sucker strips for paper machines according to patent no. 133780, characterized in that the strips consist of a leather covering attached to a preferably wooden base, wherein
 EMI1.2
 is attached.
