<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

High frequency amplifier switching.
The invention relates to high frequency amplifier circuits which, for. B. can be used in devices for receiving radio signals or for television or for image transmission, and the aim is to achieve greater amplification and better selectivity at the same time. According to the invention, this is achieved in that a coupling element is arranged between two successive amplifier stages, which consists of two inductively coupled parallel branches, of which one branch contains a series connection of a self-induction coil and a capacitor and the other branch contains a self-induction coil. The latter branch at the same time forms a path for the anode direct current of the tube, in whose output circuit the coupling element is included.
This series connection is matched to the frequency to be received. In this case, series resonance is used so that the current flowing through this branch will be large. By coupling the two self-induction coils, the current flowing through the branch mentioned will be increased, whereby the gain will be greater. If the degree of coupling of the two self-inductions is measured correctly, it can be achieved. that at the same time the selectivity is greater than with a normal circuit. The coupling can be changed both by changing the size of each of the self-induction coils and by changing the distance between these two coils.
In the circuit, coils are preferably used whose self-inductances are of the same order of magnitude. The correct ratio of self-induction depends on the type of lamp used.

bits can be achieved when the number of turns of the two induction coils are the same. For each type of lamp to be used, the size of the coils can be calculated or determined empirically. In practice, the exact setting to the desired value is then achieved by changing the coil spacing. This distance is therefore made adjustable.
Further details of the invention are explained with reference to the drawing.
In the drawing, a coupling element according to the invention is used for coupling between two stages of a high-frequency amplifier. The first tube is a protective grid tube in the output circuit of which two parallel branches are included, one of which is formed by a self-induction Li and the other by a series connection of a self-induction L2 and a capacitor C. The coils Li and L2 are coupled to one another.
The anode DC voltage is fed to the anode of the first tube via the coil Li, while the anode alternating currents are passed through both the coil Li and the coil Zs with the series capacitor C.
The sense of coupling of the two coils is chosen so that the current through L2 C is increased.
The voltage for the input circuit of the second amplifier tube is taken across the capacitor C. Although the coil L2 and the capacitor C are in resonance and
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
so that the voltages occurring at these two impedances are also the same, it is more advantageous to take the voltage from the capacitor. If one were to take this voltage from the self-induction coil, then a capacitance would be connected in parallel to it through the grid filament capacitance of the amplifier tube, whereby the voltage decreases.
The parallel connection of the grid filament capacitance with respect to the capacitor C only has the consequence that this capacitor has to be set to a slightly different value. u. zw. Such that the total capacitance in series with the self-induction coil Im is matched to the frequency that has arrived. In this case, the tension imposed on the grid of the following pipes will be normal. Another advantage of this circuit is that the feedback via the grid anode capacitance of the previous lamp is less than with normal circuits.
The anode voltage fluctuations on this preceding lamp correspond namely to the voltage fluctuations across L2 and C in series and are thus considerably smaller than the fluctuations occurring across capacitor C, because in the present case series resonance is used.
