EMI1.1

EMI1.1
A completely suitable steel alloy has not yet been found for objects that are supposed to be resistant to the effects of high heat. The previously known chromium steel alloys, even with high chromium and nickel contents, which are known to be resistant to the effects of heat and corrosion, can only meet the requirements of high temperatures and certain corrosion effects if chromium and nickel are used in amounts that suit their area of use due to the cost of their Restrict components.
On the basis of this knowledge, the present invention achieves an extraordinarily high resistance to high temperatures and corrosion of the known steels by introducing a new element, tantalum, in the range of 1 to 20%. Alloys with added tantalum are known, but so far these alloys have only been used as tool and structural steels for particularly high loads, while the beneficial influence of tantalum on the heat and corrosion resistance has not yet been recognized.
EMI1.2
and a silicon addition of 1 to 5% has proven advantageous.
