Wird der Metalldraht in Quarz oder anderes Hartglas eingeschmolzen, dann verfährt man zweckmässig so, dass über den z. B. aus Wolfram, bestehenden Draht ein ungefähr passendes Quarzröhrchen geschoben wird, wonach dieses Röhrchen entlüftet und sodann von der Mitte ausgehend erhitzt und gegebenenfalls auch gleichzeitig zusammengepresst wird.
PATENT-ANSPRACHE :
1. Elektrische Entladungsröhre mit einem in Glas, insbesondere Quarz-, Borosilikatglas oder ähnliches Hartglas, eingesehmolzenen Metalldraht, gekennzeichnet durch ein den Metalldraht mit geringem Spiel umschliessendes, von der Entladungsröhre nach aussen vortretendes Kapillarröhrchen, in dessen äusseren Endteil der Metalldraht unmittelbar oder unter Vermittlung eines auf ihm aufgeschmolzenen Hartglasmantels eingeschmolzen ist.
