Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 EMI1.2

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

  Method and device for generating artificial waves in swimming pools.
 EMI1.1
 the pump generated air dilution in the chambers and then by supplying outside air to the chambers, the air dilution in these is canceled again, whereby the water that is sucked up is left to free fall. The falling water emerges from the chambers just below the surface of the water and creates the waves through its living force.

   In the known methods and devices for generating waves, mechanically moving parts such as pistons, bellows or the like are arranged inside or directly above the suction chambers, through which the water is sucked up into the suction chambers and pushed out of them again.

   In contrast, according to the invention, there are no moving parts, such as pistons, in the suction chambers, but the pump generating the air dilution is connected to the suction chambers by suction lines and can thus be arranged far away from the suction chambers.
 EMI1.2

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 the chamber 3 is set in motion rising or falling water column. A special type of valve control is that an adjustable timer is used, which is set to the empirically determined period of the wave movement.

   By the admission of outside air as a result of opening the valves 6, the air dilution present in the suction chambers 3 is canceled and the water masses fall in free fall, whereby two waves are generated in the swimming pool. As soon as the water has emerged from the suction chambers 3, the valves 6 are closed by the switching device, as a result of which the water is sucked up into the suction chambers again. The suction chambers 3 can also be operated in shifts.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
1. A method for generating waves through water sucked up in chambers by means of a pump, characterized in that the water is first sucked up in the suction chambers (3) as a result of the air dilution generated by the pump and then the air is diluted by supplying outside air into the suction chambers (3) is lifted in these, whereby the sucked up water is left to free fall.
