Device for changing the number of revolutions of power machines provided with an automatic control device during the course.
Engine that receive adjustable or changeable revolutions during the course, such. B. power machine for driving paper machines.
This type of change in the number of revolutions of the controller and thus of the machine has the major disadvantage that with a reduced number of revolutions of the prime mover and thus also of the controller there is a reduced adjusting force of the controller, which is why a large difference in the number of revolutions results in strong reductions in the adjusting force. For this reason, regulators have also been used which are driven by the engine through a mechanical conversion gear. so that the number of revolutions of the controller remains the same with different number of revolutions of the engine, whereby the adjusting force of the controller remains at the same level.
However, these mechanical conversion gears have the disadvantage that they fail in particular with large adjustment ranges and thus cause irregularities in the transmission. In addition, the adjustment of this gear is cumbersome and difficult to operate from a great distance.
These disadvantages are eliminated according to the invention in that the engine is the

Conversion gear is replaced by a fluid conversion gear. which can be changed in its effect on the controller.
This change in effect can, for. B. caused by changing the absolute delivery rate of the liquid pump or by changing the amount of liquid causing the controller drive.
This change in effect is also carried out by hand directly on the engine or by means of a suitable mechanical, electrical or similar transmission device from a remote location. The prime mover can be any one provided with a regulator or regulator device.
The drawing shows an embodiment of the device on a steam engine. a is a liquid pump driven by the prime mover, the pressure line e of which leads to a liquid power machine c of known design, which drives the regulator d which changes the steam inflow in some known manner. The drain pipe b of the liquid power machine c is led back to the suction opening of the pump a, so that the liquid circulates via pump a and power machine c.
Of the possible types of change in the action of this fluid gear on the controller or the change in the conversion ratio, one with a handwheel is shown, by actuating it in a manner known per se, the absolute delivery rate of the fluid pump and thus the fluid volume circulating in the circuit changes within wide limits can be. Correspondingly, the number of revolutions of the fluid power machine c changes and thus also that of the controller, which influences the power machine in such a way that its number of revolutions is changed in accordance with the change in the action of the fluid pump.
