  Lufterhitzer.

  Air heater.

The invention relates to an air heater in which an air flow sucked in by a fan is pressed through lamellar heating elements. In the known devices of this type, the compressed air is pressed through a pressure port into a single radiator, which requires a relatively expensive production and clumsy design, so that the use of these radiators is limited or their accommodation is associated with difficulties.

According to the invention, these disadvantages are eliminated in that several pressure connections and heating elements are arranged around a fan, where necessary for the air supply to the heating
 EMI1.1
Exit from these takes place perpendicular to the fan axis.

In the drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown diagrammatically. 1 is the fan, 2 are the lamellar radiators symmetrically arranged around it, four of which are shown, but any number from two upwards can be used. The individual radiators z are installed in corresponding approaches of the housing 3 of the fan. Guide plates 4 can be provided to secure the air supply. 5 are the arched end caps, between which and the extensions 3 'of the housing a cavity remains, so that when a steam supply line 6 is connected, the steam can reach the individual heating pipes 7 inside the heater.

8 is the discharge line for the condensate or for the used heating medium. The drive motor, not shown, for the fan is flanged directly to the rear of the housing. The guide plates 4 ensure that all radiators are used evenly.

In the previously known radiators, if the uniform heating of a room is to be achieved, one of these radiators must be arranged on the opposite walls of the room. If the heating device according to the invention is carried out with two lamellar heaters that are opposite each other and in which the heated air exits in opposite directions, this heating device in the above-mentioned application can be used to replace two heaters of known design with a single one in the middle between the two boundary walls the radiator arranged to be heated.

If the axis of the fan is arranged vertically so that the suction opening for the air is directed downwards, a heating device according to the invention, if z. B. four radiators are provided, placed in the middle of a room and so the warm air is evenly distributed over the entire room.
