Es ist bekannt, Kopfbedeckungen, insbesondere Herren-, Damenhüte od. dgl., durch Wirken, Stricken od. dgl. und nachfolgendes Walken herzustellen. Die so hergestellten Hüte werden in der gleichen Weise wie die Haarhüte mit einem Hutband ausgestattet.
Die Erfindung besteht nun darin, bei derartigen Hüten aus gewalktem Gewirke eine Musterung, wie insbesondere das Hutband, von vornherein durch andersfarbig Fäden in der entsprechenden Farbe und Breite in das Gewirke od. dgl. einzuarbeiten.
Gegenüber den bekannten Verfahren zur Ausstattung von Hüten bietet das Verfahren gemäss der Erfindung den Vorteil, dass der übliche Walkprozess allein zu einem entsprechend ausgestatteten Hut- körper führt, ohne dass es weiterer Arbeitsvorgänge und Vollendungsarbeiten bedarf. So ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung gemusterter Hüte bekannt, bei welchem auf den fertigen Filz die Musterung mittels Schablonen in den entsprechenden Farben aufschabloniert wird. Es sind aber auch Verfahren zur Herstellung von Hüten mit von dem Kopfteil verschiedenfarbigem Rande bekannt, bei welchem auf den in der Hutfabrikation allgemein verwendeten Konus für den Rand und den Kopfteil je ein verschiedenfarbiges Vlies aufgelegt und diese beiden Vliese durch Filzen miteinander vereinigt werden.
Es sind auch Verfahren zur Verzierung von Filzen bekannt, bei welchen ein in der Musterung hergestelltes Gewebe auf den Filz angewalkt wird, wobei durch die Musterung des Gewebes die Filzverzierung hervorgerufen wird.
Fig. 1 zeigt einen durch Wirken od. dgl. aus walldähigem Material hergestellten Sektor a, der an jener Stelle b, an der beim fertigen Hut das Hutband erscheinen soll, aus einem oder mehreren andersfarbigen Fäden als der übrige Teil der Kopfbedeckung hergestellt wird, so dass diese Stelle b entweder nur an der Aussenseite oder durch die ganze Dicke des Gewirkes hindurch eine andere Farbe oder wenigstens Farbennuance als der übrige Teil des Hutes aufweist.
Fig. 2 zeigt den aus dem Sektor gemäss Fig. 1 durch Vereinigung der Ränder c durch Nähen od. dgl. hergestellten Konus oder Stumpen, der bei b die andersfarbige Stelle aufweist, die nach dem Walken und der üblichen Nachbehandlung des Hutes schon ein solches Aussehen wie die mit Hutband versehenen Hüte besitzt, so dass die bisher übliche besondere Herstellung und Aufbringung des Hutbandes entfällt.
Fig. 3 zeigt den fertigen Hut.

It is known to produce headgear, in particular men's and women's hats or the like, by knitting, knitting or the like and subsequent fulling. The hats produced in this way are provided with a hat band in the same way as the hair hats.
The invention consists in incorporating a pattern, such as the hat band in particular, into the knitted fabric from the outset by means of different colored threads in the corresponding color and width in such hats made of fulled knitted fabric or the like.
Compared to the known methods for equipping hats, the method according to the invention offers the advantage that the usual flexing process alone leads to a suitably equipped hat body, without the need for further work processes and finishing work. However, there are also known methods of making hats with a border of different colors from the head part, in which a different-colored fleece is placed on the cone generally used in hat manufacture for the edge and the head part and these two fleeces are united by felting.
Processes for decorating felts are also known in which a fabric produced in the pattern is drummed onto the felt, the pattern of the fabric producing the felt decoration.
