Die zweite LED leuchtet durch ein Fenster, das auf der Rückseite des Griffes, dort, wo sich die Kunststoffröhre nicht befindet, angebracht ist. Nachteilig ist bei dieser Konstruktion, daß die Leuchtmittel durch einen einzelnen mechanischen Knopf auf dem Griff betätigt werden, so daß man den Leuchtstab während der Verwendung auf eine bestimmte Weise halten muß, nämlich so, daß man den Knopf mit einem Finger erreichen kann. Weiters ist nachteilig, daß ein Leuchtstab, bestehend aus einem Griff mit angesetztem leuchtbarem Kunststoffrohr dem Verbraucher heutzutage als gewöhnlicher Leuchtstab vorkommt.Glow sticks are known as play equipment, gauges or lights.
