In FIGS. B and 6 another embodiment is shown in otherwise the same design, only the transformer cores 1 are arranged at an angle in such a way that the primary coils 3 almost completely fill the lower wall body 2 ″ and an even more compact structure of these parts is achieved 6 shows, are not only the parts 2 ″ of the furnace wall adjacent to the channels beveled, but also the adjoining parts 9, so that the point of intersection of the wall surfaces with the base plate of the stove forms the connection opening? the channels 11 with the herd I limit.
The bevelling of the stove walls towards the bottom has the advantage of rapid heating of the stove contents in all of the illustrated embodiments. Since the heating troughs on the floor open near the center of the stove,! the circulating movement is certainly carried into the middle parts of the stove contents, while conversely with purely cylindrical stoves the movements are primarily limited to the circumference of the stove, so that the heating of the stove contents is very slowed down.
The transformers surrounding the heating troughs can be connected in a manner known per se to a power source for single-phase alternating current or for three-phase current. With single-phase alternating current, a common transformer core can be used instead of several individual transformers, which ring-shaped surrounds the stove and penetrates the opening of the handle-shaped heating troughs. With a three-phase connection, three heating troughs and transformers can be used, depending on the phases. It is also possible to use two diametrically arranged heating troughs in which the primary windings of the transformers are connected to the three-phase current source in a Scottish circuit.
In the representation of the furnace are known details such. B. the cooling for the primary winding u. Like., omitted for the sake of simplicity.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Induction furnace, in which the heating trough enclosed by the transformer core or the heating troughs lie in a vertical plane, characterized in that each trough, advantageously designed in the manner of a vertical handle and attached to the side of the stove, is on the one hand horizontally connected to the flat bottom of the stove , on the other hand, is connected to a point of the cooker lying above the laterally arranged transformer core.
