the key 5 until the key bit 10 engages in the slots 9 of the disk 7 covered by the disk 6. As a result, the key 5 is coupled to the sleeve 4 and to the circuit board 11 connected to it. If you now turn the key further by 45, the switching plate 11 is also adjusted by 45 so that the ignition and horn circuit is connected.
This position of the circuit board 11 is illustrated in FIG. 6, in which two contact segments of the circuit board 11 are denoted by 23, the contact springs by 22, the battery by 24, the ignition device by 25 and the horn by 26. In this position the key 5 can be removed and the switch can be locked.
If you want to return the circuit board 11 to the initial position, press the key 5 a little against the bolt 14 so that the key bit 10 can disengage from the slots 9 of the disc 7, and then turn the key 5 back until it breaks again the superimposed slots 8 of the discs 6 and 7 can emerge from the sleeve 4. In this position, both the ignition circuit and the horn circuit are interrupted.
The circuit board 12 is used to switch the lighting on and off and has the three switch positions in a known manner: 1 off, 2 parking lights and 3 high beams. It can be locked in each of these three switching positions by removing the key 5.
If desired, the lighting switch 12, 13 can be changed in any way, as can the general structure of the switch as a whole. If only the horn circuit and not also, as described, the ignition circuit are to be influenced by the switch, the contact springs 22 provided for the ignition circuit on the circuit board 11 remain unused or are omitted.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Lockable switch for the electrical system of motor vehicles with a key housed in the axis of the switch handle for the lighting, which unlocks the lighting switch when pressed down against spring force, characterized in that the key (5) by turning in its depressed position automatically with a is coupled only by the key (5) rotatable switching element (11), by rotating at least one circuit can be switched on and off in a known manner.
