Kabelhaspel.

Cable reel.
For winding cables of larger diameters, it is advisable to use reels, one of which is provided with a reel disc on the inside with a guide groove which serves to accommodate the inner cable end and in this way guides the inner end past all layers of the cable lying on top of one another. This enables even winding of the individual cable windings; In addition, when the reel is fully wound, both cable ends are accessible, which is desirable with regard to electrical measurements to be made.
When pulling long and heavy cables, forces occur against the pulling direction, which cause the inner cable end to gradually migrate outwards. The attachment of the cable end to the reel disc can be loosened so that the cable end hits the ground. This leads to damage to the lead cap when cables are removed, the insulation of which is protected against the ingress of moisture by lead caps soldered onto the lead jacket. Unpleasant work interruptions, which are particularly undesirable when laying cables at sea and are associated with high costs, are the consequence.
The disadvantages outlined can be eliminated according to the invention in that special guide means are attached along the circumference of the disc of the cable reel provided with a guide groove, which enable the cable end to be passed on after it has emerged from the guide groove while hiking.
The proposed guide can be designed in various ways according to FIGS. 1 to 4 of the drawing. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the has on the reel disc a des
Reel attached guide washer b a guide groove c, which is used to receive the cable end d.
From the exit of the cable end from the guide groove, according to the invention, bolts e, for example, provided with a roller 1 'and a rotatable disk g, are inserted into the reel disk at suitable intervals, as shown in FIG. 3. If now while pulling a
Cable moves the inner end, the cable end slides over the rollers f, the washers g prevent the cable from falling out to the side. With this arrangement, jamming and damage to the cable end is completely avoided. The bolts provided with rollers can also be connected to one another by a flat iron, which takes over the lateral guidance of the cable end. The guidance can also take place according to FIG. 4 by angle iron h or by a combination of angle iron and rollers.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Cable reel with guide groove for leading out the inner cable end, characterized in that the inner cable end is also guided on the circumference of the reel disc provided with the guide groove.
