Schallwiedergabevorrichtung.
Fig. 3-8 zeigen schematisch verschiedene Abänderungen.

<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Sound reproducing device.
The invention relates to a sound reproduction device with two or more mutually arranged, interacting resonance bodies. The essence of the invention is that. that this resonance body consists of one on one or both sides through vibratory. So elastic floors closed coat are formed, which floors are made to vibrate by one or more vibration exciters oscillating in unison.
In the drawings Fig. 1 is a side view, partly in section, of an embodiment of the present invention, Fig. 2 is a section along line a. b Fig. 1. Figs. 3-8 schematically show various modifications.

device, 2 an internally glued, rectangular frame for clamping the membrane, 3, d. i. an elastic, vibratory floor, around its circumference. With 4 a sound box (z.
B. the body of a violin, viola, mandolin or other suitable musical instrument), which is glued above and below with inlays 4a and by means of the inlays 4a penetrating screws 5 is attached to the vocal strips 6, which are above and below the extend the entire width of the housing and are mortised or glued to the same at their ends. With 10, 11 two feet glued to the inserts 411 are designated, with which at 12 a long web 1; ; is screwed to which the visual oscillation
EMI1.2
occurs, with which it is brought into vibration-transmitting contact by a regulating nut 19.
With 20 a damper (z. B. a felt packet or the like) is referred to, whose inclined surface 21 can be brought into or out of damping contact with the bottom of the resonance body by moving the handle 23 guided in the foot 11 and penetrating the housing. A curtain arranged directly behind the membrane is designated by 2J. which is intended to prevent fber acoustics of the sound reproduction device.
The effect of the present sound reproduction device is that a resonance body of a lower fundamental tone (according to Fig. 1, 2, the housing 1 covered with the membrane 3) together with a resonance body of a higher fundamental tone (according to Fig. L 2, the body 4) to common, i.e. in unison Sound reproduction is stimulated, whereby either one and the same vibration-exciting organ (magnet system j is used or, if two separate magnet systems are used, these are excited by the same vibration-exciting process, i.e. synchronously, and connected in parallel or in series.
According to Fig. 1 and 2, the resonance body of the higher natural fundamental tone is built into the resonance body of the lower natural fundamental tone, so that the sound effect is determined not only by the sum resonance of the two bodies but also by the mutual reflex, but you can, without leaving the scope of the invention, the assembly as well as the design of the two resonance bodies in a variety of ways, e.g. B. change according to Figs. 3-8.
Fig. 3 shows an embodiment in which a tuning strip 26 runs through the entire housing 1, which on the one hand carries the vibration-inducing organ M and on the other hand the resonance housing 4, which is covered with a smaller diaphragm'111 on which one end of the vibrating pin s attacks. The second end of the same is connected to the diaphragm j.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
According to FIG. 4, the resonance body J is along a guide 28 in the resonance housing 1, preferably in the direction of the main acoustic axis a-; ; ; the same displaceable, the operation of both
Membranes 3, m can be made either as shown by two separate magnet systems 11, 11 'or by the common push pin of one and the same magnet system. The displaceability of the small inner resonance body makes it possible to regulate the mutual reflex effect.
This will have its greatest value when the small resonance body is set approximately in the middle of the depth of the large resonance housing and it will be almost completely suppressed when the small resonance body is pushed out of the large resonance body.
According to FIG. 5, the small resonance body 4 hangs in the membrane 3 of the large resonance housing 1.
The magnet system il attacks the ceiling of the small resonance body by means of the pin S, which at the same time also causes the large membrane to vibrate and the large resonance body to cooperate.
According to FIG. 6, the small resonance body -1 is attached to the large resonance body by means of inserts 41. ? arranged inside the same. The push pin 8 of the magnet system, which can be arranged as indicated by dotted lines or as fully extended. engages the ceiling cl of the small resonance body with the clamping screw J2 and, moreover, with its extended end at 43 on the membrane J which actuates the large resonance body.
According to FIG. 7, D designates the ceiling of the large resonance body 1, of the bottom B of which a part is designed as the ceiling of the smaller resonance body 4. The magnet system J7 is suspended from the ceiling D of the large resonance body by means of struts 50. The pin S engages on the one hand at 51 on the ceiling of the large resonance body, on the other hand at 52 on the part of the base B which forms the ceiling of the small resonance body.
Without departing from the scope of the invention, instead of two according to FIG. B. bring three resonance bodies 1, 4a and 4b correspondingly graded natural fundamental tone through magnet systems 11, of which the two resonance bodies 4a and 4b different
