Verfahren zur Herstellung von Banknoten oder sonstigen Wertpapieren.
Wie bekannt, müssen bei Banknoten und sonstigen Wertpapieren neben dem Schutz gegen manuelle Nachahmung auch Vorkehrungen getroffen werden, um das Wertpapier gegen Nachahmung auf photomechanischem Wege zu schützen.
Die beste Sicherung gegen Fälschungen mit photomechanischen Mitteln bildet ein schwarz gehaltener Schutzdruck, der unter oder über das farbige Hauptbild der Wertpapiere oder Teile desselben gelegt wird. Solche Schutzdrucke werden üblicherweise-in Form von parallelen
Strichen oder sonstigen Lineamenten oder Mustern-in Buchdruck oder Offsetdruck aus- geführt.
Dieses Verfahren begegnet jedoch der Schwierigkeit, dass einerseits der Gesamteindruck des Wertpapieres sehr beeinträchtigt ist, wenn ein solcher Schutzdruck nicht in sehr zarten Linien gehalten ist, während es anderseits schwierig ist, entsprechend zarte Linien in Buchdruck oder Offsetdruck so schwarz zu erzeugen, dass der angestrebte Schutz des Wertpapiers erreicht wird : ist die schwarz zu haltende Linie nicht genügend kräftig genug, so wird der Schutz unwirksam, da es den Phototechniker gelingt, durch entsprechende Aufnahmen im Negativ, das zur Reproduktion des Wertpapiers dienen soll, die nicht kräftig genug gedruckten schwarzen Linien ganz oder teilweise auszulöschen.
Gemäss dem vorliegenden Verfahren wird ein farbig, vorteilhaft mehrfarbig gedrucktes, in einer beliebigen Technik, z. B. in Buchdruck, Offsetdruck od. dgl. (oder auch in Kupferdruck) erzeugtes Bild mit einem in Kupferdrnek ausgeführten schwarzen Schutzdruck (Lineament oder sonstige Zeichnung) ganz oder teilweise über- oder unterdruckt. wobei dieser Schutzdruck zweckmässig von einer Kupferdruckplatte erhalten wird, die daneben künstlerisch ausgeführte Bildteile, vorzugsweise in bunter aktinischer Farbe, liefert.
Nach einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform des Verfahrens wird der Buchdruck, Offsetdruck od. dgl. von Platten gewonnen, die daneben auch schwarzen Schutzdruck für die in Kupferdruck ausgeführten bildlichen oder dekorativen Teile des Wertpapiers liefern.
In der Regel wird man zur Ausführung dieses Verfahrens einen grossen Teil des Notenbildes in Buchdruck oder Offsetdruck oder Steindruck ein-, zwei-oder mehrfarbig drucken, wobei natürlich auch mehrere Drucke übereinandergelegt werden können. Dieser farbige Druck wird mit einer schwarzen Zeichnung in Kupferdruck überdruck-t, die aus ziemlich pastösen Strichen besteht. Neben dieser schwarzen Kupferdruckzeichnung liefert die hiezu verwendete Kupferdruckplatte vorteilhaft einen künstlerisch ausgeführten Bildteil und allenfals auch stufig ausgeführtes Zierwerk, z. B. Guillochen od. dgl. Dieser Kupferbilddruck wird zweckmässig in bunter aktinischer, z.
B. blauer Farbe, gebracht, so dass also über eine ein-, zwei-oder mehrfarbige Buchdruck-, Offsetdruck-oder Steindruckzeichnung ein Iriskupferdruck, der zum Teil schwarz gehalten ist, ausgeführt wird. Man kann aber auch den Iriskupferdruck als ersten drucken. Ferner kann der Kupferdruck auch als Ganzer schwarz oder grau gehalten werden, obzwar dies natürlich nicht vorteilhaft ist.

The best protection against counterfeiting with photomechanical means is a protective print in black, which is placed under or over the main colored image of the securities or parts thereof. Such protective prints are usually in the form of parallel

However, this method encounters the difficulty that on the one hand the overall impression of the security is very impaired if such a protective print is not kept in very delicate lines, while on the other hand it is difficult to produce correspondingly delicate lines in letterpress or offset printing so black that the desired Protection of the security is achieved: If the line to be kept black is not strong enough, the protection becomes ineffective because the photo technician succeeds in taking pictures in the negative that is intended to be used to reproduce the security, the black lines that are not printed strongly enough completely or partially extinguish.
According to the present method, a color, advantageously multicolored, printed in any technique, e.g. B. in letterpress, offset printing or the like.
