Schraubensicllerung.

Screw locking.
The patent no. 112 513 relates to a screw locking device in the form of a bent steel sheet
U-shaped bracket, in each of whose legs a threaded hole is provided, the axis of which is shifted parallel to that of the second threaded hole. Such U-shaped screw locks have the disadvantage that they are only ever used as pure screw locks, i.e. H. can only be used in conjunction with a screw nut. By contrast, the invention is intended to create a bow-shaped screw locking device that makes the use of a special screw nut superfluous, rather it combines screw nut and screw locking device.
According to the invention, this purpose is achieved in that the safety device consists of an approximately S-shaped curved sheet steel bracket with parallel legs, each of which has a threaded hole for receiving the threaded bolt. The bores of the three legs are offset eccentrically with respect to one another in such a way that the upper and lower bores are coaxial with one another but not coaxial with the central threaded bore.
A nut designed in this way represents the connection of a screw nut with a screw locking device and acts in such a way that, due to the peculiar interaction of the three threaded holes, the tension required to secure the screw connection occurs within the bracket immediately after all three holes are in engagement with the bolt thread have arrived.
The drawing illustrates two embodiments of the invention, u. Between FIGS. 1-3 show the longitudinal section, cross-section and top view of a preferred form of screw locking device, while FIGS. 4-6 show the longitudinal section, cross-section and top view of a somewhat modified embodiment in which the bore of the lower leg is smooth Drilling is carried out.
The brackets of both embodiments are, like the subject of the main patent, bent from a piece of sheet steel, which according to the present invention, however, has an approximately S-shaped longitudinal section. In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1-3 a threaded hole 2 or. 3 or 4 is provided in each of the three legs of an S-shaped bracket 1, which according to the specification of the main patent by twisting the upper web 5 and the middle and the webs 6 connecting the lower leg are offset eccentrically from one another in such a way that the upper and lower threaded bores 2, 4 are coaxial with one another, but are not aligned with the central threaded bore 3.
As soon as this resilient bracket, which to a certain extent combines nut and screwdriver, is screwed onto a screw bolt, a strong tension arises in the two webs 5 and 6 as a result of the pressure exerted on the threaded holes to give up their previous eccentricity and all align themselves in the same axis which has the consequence that all three threaded holes alternately insert themselves into the thread of the screw bolt from opposite sides with appropriate pressure and thereby make a loosening of the S-shaped bracket completely impossible.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 4-6, the lower bracket leg only has a smooth bore 7, the diameter of which is so large that it can be pushed freely over the screw bolt. As a result of the eccentricity of the threaded bores 2 and 3, the screw locking device formed in this way will initially be inclined when it is placed on the screw bolt until one of its longitudinal edges rests on the surface to be locked. If you tighten the screw

abandon the bracket, its inclined position and adjust itself with respect to the screw bolt in such a way that the previously eccentrically offset axes of the threaded bores 2 and 3 coincide with the axis of the screw bolt.
Since a strong tension will occur in the web 5, the threaded bores 2 and 2 insert themselves into the bolt thread with a corresponding pressure and in this way likewise prevent the screw locking device from loosening.
