Elektrische Bremischere.

Electric brake scissors.
In electrically heated kernels, the heating resistors in the two heating knees are often connected in parallel with 110 volts and 220 full voltage in series. In order to be able to use one or the other circuit depending on the voltage, the connections for the conductors leading to the heating resistors must be easily accessible. For this purpose, according to the innovation, the supply lines to the four ends of the heating resistors are led to the lower end of one scissor handle and their connection terminals are housed in a two-part sleeve attached to the scissor handle.
The subject of the invention is shown in the drawing, il. Between Fig. 1 shows the sleeve attached to the one scissor handle at the bottom partially in section on an enlarged scale, Fig. 2 shows a section CD of Fig. 1, Fig. 3 shows a section AB of Fig. 1, Figs. 4 and 5 the rows -or. Parallel connection of the heating resistors in the embodiment shown in Figs. 1-3, Fig. 6 and 7 the series or. Parallel connection of the two heating resistors in a slightly modified version and Fig. 8 shows the whole curling iron on a smaller scale.
The hollow handle of the curling iron is denoted by 1; at its end it has two sleeves consisting of the two halves 2, 3 and 5. The sleeve 2, 3 is non-rotatably fastened to the pipe 1 by a screw bolt 6, while the sleeve 4, 5 held together by a screw bolt 7 can rotate around the pipe 1, so that a cable 8 connected to it and leading to the power source can rotate when Use of the burning glasses. On the inside of the sleeve half 2 are three clamps 9, 10, 11, to which the cables go through a lateral opening 72 in the pipe 1. The other half of the sleeve 3 has a 1: 1 recess inside.
On the sleeve half 4 sit two terminals 14, 15 to which the cable 8 is connected; they are each connected to a contact spring 16 or 17. Two metal tubes 18 and 19, which are insulated by insulating tubes 20 and 21, are lifted into the open end of the tube 1. The two contact springs 16 and 17 rest on one end of the two metal pipes 18 and 19 and a cable is connected to the other end, which also goes through the opening 12 in the pipe 1 to the connection terminals 9, 10, 11.
The heating resistors accommodated in the two heater legs are denoted by 22 and 23 in the control plans, from the ends of which cables 24, 2.5, 26, 27 to the connection terminals 9, 10, 11
EMI1.1
further allows the heating resistors to be connected in series (Fig. 4) or in parallel (Fig. 5).
If desired, you can get by with two clamps 9 and 10 (Fig. 6 and 7). In this case, the two cables 25, 26 must be connected to one another in the series connection (FIG. 6).
