Description

Sports or bathing sneakers with rubber soles.

The currently common bathing shoes or gym shoes with tennis soles are produced by gluing the edges of the upper part onto the inner sole, which is made of canvas, for example. These edges form an elevation running around the edge of the insole, which would be uncomfortably noticeable when using the shoe.

A filler material (canvas or the like) is therefore inserted into the interfering depression until the latter is the same level as the upper part edges glued on. Now the rubber sole is pressed onto the insole, which is now flat, and vulcanized. This type of manufacture is costly and time consuming. In order to avoid these disadvantages, according to the present invention, an insole made of plastic, compressible material, preferably synthetic cork, is used. into which the edges of the upper part, which are used for fastening between the two soles, are pressed when, after the unvulcanized rubber sole has been placed on the lower side of the insole with the edges, a corresponding pressure is exerted, while the rubber sole may be vulcanized simultaneously.

When using such plastic insoles, the upper part edges press into the latter,
